After a few disappointing experiences elsewhere, I’d been searching for a new veterinary practice for several months. All I really want from a vet is someone who listens to the owner, treats each pet as an individual, and carries out their work professionally and thoroughly, without ego or complacency. I was recommended Blythman & Partners by one of my own clients, who spoke very highly of them. I’m so glad I followed up on that recommendation. The premises are quaint, clean and welcoming. The main waiting area is a little narrow, but there is also a separate quiet waiting area which is much more spacious, ideal for larger dogs or pets who need a calmer environment. Every staff member I’ve encountered so far has been genuinely pleasant. There’s a lovely atmosphere within the team, and it's clear they have good working relationships with each other. No one gives the impression that they’d rather be anywhere else. The reception team are efficient and attentive. When I made a silly error with an insurance claim, Kim spotted it immediately and kindly sorted it out for me. I haven’t had direct interaction with any nurses yet, but they are always smiling and come across as kind and professional. I’ve seen two vets so far; Sally for an initial consultation and Chloe for a follow-up check. Both have been wonderful to deal with. Friendly, professional and, most importantly, very kind to my dog. They were patient and gentle while examining her, even when she was a bit wriggly during her eye check! I went over the allocated time for my appointment with Sally, but there was no clock-watching or pressure to hurry things along. What stood out most was that the vets genuinely listened to my concerns and respected my perspective as an owner. They also identified health issues in my dog that had previously been missed elsewhere, which really reinforced that I’d made the right decision in switching. Overall, I’ve been extremely impressed with Blythman & Partners, and feel very reassured that my dog is in capable and compassionate hands.

WARNING TO PET OWNERS: MONEY OVER ANIMAL WELFARE & UNETHICAL CONDUCT I would warn every pet owner to avoid Blythman & Partners (Wallsend). We brought our 7-month-old cat, Muffin, who was suffering from neurological symptoms, explicitly requesting and offering to pay for basic diagnostic blood tests (CBC/Biochemistry/A:G ratio) to investigate FIP. The vet REFUSED to perform these basic tests, claiming they were "nonspecific," and instead pressured us to either pay £4,000 for a private specialist referral or EUTHANISE our kitten, claiming his condition was "unsustainable." When we refused to be treated like a "cash cow" and decided to save our cat using the internationally recognised GS-441524 treatment (which is legal via Bova UK, despite the clinic’s false claims), they retaliated by reporting us to the RSPCA. Today, the RSPCA inspector visited our home. To everyone's amazement, Muffin—who Blythman & Partners wanted to put down—STOOD UP and SAT UP independently during the visit. The inspector witnessed his incredible improvement and is now questioning why basic diagnostic care was denied by this practice. This clinic prioritizes expensive referrals over basic life-saving diagnostics and uses intimidation tactics against owners who challenge their lack of professionalism. They were wrong about Muffin, and their attempt to use the RSPCA to cover their own diagnostic failure has backfired. Absolutely heartless and unprofessional.

Took me all day to pull myself together. Just wanted to say thank you to the nurse who helped send Pablo on his next journey. Thank you! He had the kindest soul. He was my very best friend and I will miss him forever. Good night brother I love you and I will never forget you! xx
