The vet was rude, dismissive and had no idea what she was doing. This vet is a cash grab that will charge you for bottles of anti-biotics filled with virtually nothing!! If you need a vet that actually cares about your animals instead of not listening and pretending like they're a real vet. Take your animals elsewhere. They will bleed you dry while your animals slowly die and continue to act like they know better than you about your own animals. Bosses pay their employees to do a job and do it right and do it with a smile on their face. These employees won't and will 'eyeroll' at your concerns. Take your pets to a place that cares. Because these people don't. There are some vets here though that care and are wonderful. But that doesn't matter when there are other vets here that don't care.

i’ve been meaning to write this review for some time now, to say how grateful we are for the care our beloved cat borys received at castle veterinary centre. from the very beginning, everyone treated borys with such gentleness and respect. every member of the team showed patience, kindness and real compassion, not only towards him but also towards us while we were trying to make the best decisions for him. a special thank you to ewan and brin for their professionalism and support during an incredibly emotional time. they took the time to explain everything clearly, answered our questions with honesty and care, and made sure borys was always treated with dignity and warmth. we also want to thank the wonderful nurses who looked after him, stroked his little head and made sure he felt safe and comforted. those small acts of kindness meant more to us than words can express. losing him has been heartbreaking, but knowing he was surrounded by such compassionate people in his final chapter brought us a great deal of comfort. thank you for everything you did for borys and for us💚

Amazing with my little baby especially a lady called Sam. All staff are amazing there but I felt she took a little more time to answer my questions and also felt comfortable with her as so did my fluffy 😊. Thank you so much 😊🙏🏻

I feel heartbroken writing this, but I would strongly urge people to think twice before using this veterinary clinic. My dog has been registered there for six years, and until now I had thankfully never needed them for anything serious. This week, that changed when my dog, Holly, suddenly became very unwell. Because it was the weekend when she first fell ill, I had no choice but to take her to Animal Trust in Thornaby. They were compassionate, reassuring, and genuinely seemed to care. I cannot recommend them enough, and I will now be transferring Holly there permanently. Following Animal Trust’s advice, when Holly didn’t improve, I took her back to her registered vets during their opening hours. I was told she needed blood tests costing £210, that we would have the results within 24 hours, and that we could then move forward with treatment. As a worried owner, you trust what you’re told, especially when your pet is suffering. £270 and 48 hours later, I still have a very poorly dog, no results, and no real answers about how we are going to make Holly better. Instead, I was told they needed more time, despite originally promising a 24-hour turnaround. When your pet is part of your family, every hour feels like a lifetime, and being left waiting with no clear communication is devastating. I truly feel this clinic is more focused on money than on the animals in their care. If your pet is just an ‘animal’ to you, you may not have an issue. But if your pet is your family, your companion, your everything — please choose somewhere that will treat them with the care, urgency, and compassion they deserve.

They genuinely care about your animals and know what they’re talking about, so I can’t recommend them more. Excellent service, thank you for looking after my cat with such dedication to her wellbeing and myself

I adopted two kittens in 2020 and very rapidly they both needed emergency care, as I didn’t do my research before getting them. One had completely stopped eating the night before and Castle Vets took the cats in first thing the next morning. They gave me realistic odds, outcomes, and talked about costs in a clear manner and handled my distress with compassion. They called when they said they would with updates and thankfully my cats beat the odds and made it through. Why write a review 4.5 years later? I regularly think of this practice and how grateful I am for their care and how they handled the situation Outside of emergency care, also had the cats spayed here and they answered my anxious phone calls on vomiting and behavior questions with grace. I recognize they’re not the cheapest option, or at least they weren’t four years ago, but the quality of care and compassion was worth every penny! For the vets: pepper and Nia are living their best lives and thankfully not needed any emergency care since
