Castle vets are so lovely. They always pet my dog first before diving into treat her. They always explain what they are doing and say why but are always happy to answer my questions without fobbing me off. They realise it’s important for me to understand and never make me feel any less educated. They listen patiently to any concerns and always ask how she has been. Just brilliant. Been going for over 20 years now and will not change

Very welcoming practice. Answers all questions and dealt with our wriggling puppy with a lot of patience. A smaller practice with a lot of time to answer all our concerns which we felt was important and the care for our pup was genuine and not rushed. Would highly recommend them if you want the more personal touch.

Terrible Experience – Deeply Distressing at an Already Heartbreaking Time We brought our dog here to say goodbye after she reached the final stage of her long battle with heart disease, lung disease, and epilepsy. She was clearly at the end of her life, and we wanted her to pass peacefully. Because we hadn’t previously used this veterinary practice, I was absolutely shocked when, after agreeing that it was indeed her time, the vet proceeded to accuse us of possibly “stealing the neighbour’s dog and having it put down out of some sort of vendetta.” When I explained that we had used different veterinary practices over the years which is why he hadn't seen us before, he called this “highly suspicious” and suggested again that we may have stolen our own dog. I immediately asked him to check her microchip, only to be told it would take several hours to confirm whether I was “telling the truth.” As if the delay in the microchip system was somehow my fault. It was only after we provided the phone number of our dog’s cardiologist who personally confirmed we were the owners that he finally accepted the truth. No apology was given. I should have walked out then and there, but our dog was suffering and we had no choice but to proceed with the euthanasia. What was already the worst moment of our lives was made so much more traumatic by an unfounded and frankly outrageous accusation. A heartbreaking goodbye made infinitely worse by the behaviour of this vet. Shameful way to treat anyone, let alone someone saying their final goodbye to a beloved pet. Go elsewhere.

WARNING - check prices before treatment! Due to recent outbreak of parvovirus I took two dogs for vaccinations, as I had let my dogs booster lapse (my fault) Injections had to start again - totally horrified to be charged £236.00 for the pleasure 🤬 No wonder parvovirus is rife ! How can people be expected to afford these costs. I have used this vet for over 20 years what has happened to this practice

I can’t recommend this Local vet enough! They are nothing like these horrible nasty parasitic chain company’s that charge double if not triple what you would expect. Miles in the team have looked after to my guinea pig this week, including a lovely receptionist that nursed her post opp after a tumour removal. They saved me money for me where they could and being a single parent You need all the help you can get. I’m glad to say, she’s nearly on the mend! Thank you to everyone for all the care and attention you’ve given!
