I love this shop. I come here for my fish or anything to do with my fish tank. Thus shop has a wide selection of good for all animals including reptiles, rabbits, cats, dogs, birds etc. Prices are fair and staff are happy and friendly every time I've been. True care for the animals sold and customers that come through the doors.

Good range of things for decent prices; however, one staff member was very blunt and rude to us. We came from Durham to get a few bits and went into the shop at around 3:20pm. We could hear one member of staff telling everyone who walked through the door that they closed at 4pm, even though there were still 40 minutes left until closing. We spent a while browsing, and by 3:40pm we were finishing up and making our way to the till when a male member of staff came over and said, “Just to let you know, we close at four and my till will timeout very soon, so I’m going to need you to…” while making a hurry-up gesture. His tone and gestures were really rude and abrupt . I’ve worked in customer service for years and would never dream of speaking to customers like that when they’ve done nothing wrong. I could understand if it was five minutes before closing, or after closing time ect ; however, we still had 20 minutes left and we were already heading to the till. After that interaction, I put my items down did not buy them and left.

Staff are great and helpful. But no longer sell loose seed for caged birds, only small expensive or bulk bags at £20. Seemed to be more for wild birds and hens. Used to be my one stop shop for all my pets now I'll have to look elsewhere.

No its not a nice store only cats and dogs thing there
