I cannot compliment the staff highly enough in this store on how helpful they have been in the last week! I phoned last Wednesday to see if they had matching single and double plastic cat dishes in blue, green or mauve. The lady I spoke to said they had loads of single but only one double in blue, so she put the double and a single by for me. Took my name. She explained they weren't open New Year's Eve. I wasn't willing to go out in the temperatures in the fewdays after! As I'd had a cheat infection, antibiotics, Steroids just before Christmas! I said I may not get there till today or tomorrow. She said that's fine. Yesterday I rang them! As I wasn't sure I was going to get there today! But today was better. The guy I spoke to confirnwd the dishes were put by for me. Best bet if I couldn't get there today would be to ring today. He wouldn't be in but he would leave a note. Then I could come and collect them next week. Thankfully I got there today and spoke to a very pleasant young lady as soon as I got in the door. She promptly produced the dishes for me.i said how grateful I was! As normally I would have been up to get them last week! It was a bus from Clacton and then a walk! Which I couldn't do in those temperatures when I'd not long been ill. She said that's fine. If I could have commended the 3 people I dealt with to a manager for excellent customer service, I would have done! The lady in the shop today and the 2 people I spoke to on the phone! Thank you for making a difficult time with the weather easier! And for a nice product. I would definitely come here for other things or more cat dishes if I needed to in the future!

Waste of time using click and collect. Ordered some lifestage dog biscuits via click and collect to assist in getting in/out of the shop quicker on my way home from work, what an absolute waste of time it was. Placed the order at 1750 on Tuesday. Went into the shop at 1700 Wednesday to be told “if you haven’t received an email, your order isn’t ready” despite the website advertising orders ready within an hour and me attending 23 hours later. I wouldn’t mind but for the fact the girl who was clearly responsible for click and collect was doing absolutely nothing. Stood around near the tills with her hands behind her back doing nothing. After a short discussion where I explained I wasn’t clear why my order wasn’t ready when it was three packs of biscuits which I could go and get from the shelf while she continued to make excuses to stand around doing nothing, she called another staff member and then went with them to print the invoice and sort the order. If the store was busy I would understand, but they were stood around doing nothing. It would have been quicker to walk in and get the items off the shelf myself rather than have to argue with the staff to get them to do their job rather than fobbing me off. Save your time and effort and don’t bother with click and collect here.

A huge Thankyou to the fabulous Lou here that exceeded my expectations, and helped me find the right food for my dog, after him being poorly with a previous one. She is an asset to the store, friendly, empathetic and listens to needs.
