We were advised by Cromwell to proceed with castration because of medical risk, and we made it absolutely clear beforehand that our dog was not a routine post-operative case. He is an 84kg dog with a known history of going for wounds, and those concerns were raised before surgery. Despite that, what followed felt like a standard churn-through approach rather than careful clinical judgement tailored to the dog in front of them. The exact problem we were worried about then happened. He developed a painful post-operative scrotal complication, required repeat visits, multiple medications, and significant extra cost. It was stressful, exhausting, and, in our view, entirely predictable given the risks that had been explained beforehand. That is the most concerning part. This did not feel like bad luck. It felt like a dog with clearly flagged risk factors was still pushed through the standard procedure route, and we were left dealing with the fallout. Their complaint handling afterwards only made matters worse. Although they acknowledged that the explanation of the surgical approach fell below expectations, they failed to offer any meaningful resolution and then ignored our follow-up correspondence. Our dog has recovered, thankfully. Our confidence in this practice has not.

Appointments are always running late which stresses me dog, given how much we now pay this should no longer be the case. The company now only seems to care about making profit and at every appointment extra items or treatments are pushed, this never used to be the case and every time we go it's a different vet, (where have all the original ones gone!!!) it now feels as though our pets are just being used as easy money making machines for them. However the receptionists are great , very welcoming, friendly and helpful indeed I can't praise them enough.

My dog was very ill needed emergency out of hours surgery. The staff are excellent and vets very good. I would like to thank Katie who operated on my dog chase and saved his life we cannot thankyou enough. The whole experience was excellent and even though the total cost was close to 5 thousand pounds it was worth it. We have one happy dog 🐕 and another who was happy to see him home. We are eternally grateful to all the staff.

My dogs’ digestion problem that I’d been managing suddenly deteriorated on a Sunday morning (typical!). I took advice from my insurance company vet helpline and needed to make an urgent appointment for him. Within a couple of hours he was being treated. What impressed me greatly is that I was not steered down the costliest route (on the contrary) - but given practical and sound help and guidance and he was given an anti-sickness jab. Made an immediate improvement.

Amazing staff We unfortunately had to say goodbye to our cat who had been missing for over 2weeks and was brought into the vets there. From the members of staff that called from out of hours the evening before to the lady that brought our girl out to us they were all so very kind and helpful at such a sad time for us. They even made us little foot prints and gave us a clipping of hair which we so very much appreciated, can not thank them enough for all the care they give to animals and their owners.

I’ve been taking my kitten to this vet clinic since the day I brought her home, and I couldn’t be happier with the care we’ve received. The staff is always warm, patient, and genuinely attentive to my kitten’s needs, taking the time to explain everything clearly and make sure he feels comfortable. The clinic is clean, well-organized, and clearly focused on creating a stress-free environment for pets. Every visit leaves me feeling confident that my kitten is in excellent hands. I’m so grateful to have found a team that truly goes above and beyond

I cannot thank all of your staff for being so kind and helpful this morning. I spoke to the out of hours vet who was very understanding and supportive, then your switchboard at 8 am, she even came and met me and Rosie at reception where the ladies there were super. The nurse we saw was excellent, I think her name was Lauren and Polly the vet could not have been any more thorough and caring. Thank you so much from my little Rosie & me! xx
