I’ve just had a lovely experience at the new Donaldson’s Vets in Penistone. The practice itself is beautiful, it’s bright, spacious, and very welcoming with a friendly receptionist. I met our new vet, Emma, and a lovely student named Mia. Both were incredibly personable and had fantastic people skills, alongside their clinical expertise. My 6-year-old dog Peanut, is very small and can be a little bit mardi, but Emma clocked this and was super gentle. She even used a baby needle to make him more comfortable when receiving his jab. Her bedside manner was second to none. I really wish I had switched to this practice sooner.

Absolutely amazing veterinary practice. We brought our son's rabbit in as he was in pain and discomfort from old age, he was treated with painkillers and then unfortunately had to be put to sleep a week later. This was really hard for us, especially our son. All the staff were so kind and compassionate and gave us plenty of time with him to say goodbye and make arrangements in our own time. Special thanks to vet Emma and Nicola on reception who were just wonderful. Thank you so much to everyone for looking after Chester and us. I will be registering my 3 cats with Donaldsons in Penistone, highly recommend 😊

Very good vets and really nice caring staff the vets are amazing and really care for my ferrets! I feel less anxious than any other vets iv been to! They are really caring definitely recommend!

We had to make that phone call this morning that everyone dreads 🥲 The lovely vet & nurse came out to put our old girl to sleep. The care and compassion they gave was amazing. Whilst dealing with the family tears and emotions they were absolutely wonderful. Nothing was rushed and everything was in our time to say goodbye. So sorry I completely forgot the vet/ nurse names but you will know! You were incredible at the time of our deepest sorrow. Thank you ❤️

We can't recommend this Vet's practice highly enough. Our beloved Madge suddenly and unexpectedly became critically unwell and was admitted for 5 days to the hospital at their Almondbury practice. At every stage, we were kept informed by professional caring and compassionate staff. It didn't matter who we spoke to, everyone went above and beyond. Madge was treated like she was one of the family and that gave us great comfort. She recovered enough to come home and spend quality time with us. Sadly, she relapsed and, despite trying all treatment options, she couldn't recover. Madge was treated with the greatest love and kindness, and us with the utmost compassion. That made our darkest moment so much easier to bear and we will be forever grateful

Recently transferred here from another vets and so very pleased we did. Took our cocker spaniel for an appointment earlier this week and had a fantastic experience. Chloe was extremely knowledgeable and took her time to explain everything to us, reassuring us that everything was okay. She was also very kind and caring - as was the apprentice in the room with her and the receptionist. The vets itself was very clean and well kept. Excellent vets - Five stars from us!
