My good friend adopted my dog when I left the UK. She loved and adored him. When he came to his final days we were in touch and decided it was best for him to go. I gave permission and also paid for the bill over the phone with my credit card, which was ridiculous for an euthanization. £140. So when my friend arrived 2 days later with the doggie that the most awful thing happened. They brought him in, got him on the table where the vet said there was no record of permission being given and no payment. So in one of the worst moments of her life waiting for her dog to be put down , the staff are all flapping around looking through the files. It took forever for them to say sorry and that's only because I asked for one. What a disorganised, bunch of untrained staff there and highly unprofessional at that. Plus the vet calling the owner upset about this review shows more unprofessionalism. 2 days after Paddy is euthanized, not appropriate!!

The team here are absolutely incredible. So compassionate, kind, and patient. I genuinely feel that pets are cared for like family, not just a number.

What a great practice! All staff are very responsive to both animal and human needs. It is such a friendly place and creates a great sense of trust because it is also efficient and so well run. Love the fact too that it is an independent practice and family run. Thank you for being the best veterinary pratice I have been to over the last 20 or more years.

While on holiday nearby in a wonderful old farmhouse my dog went out to bark at something he heard in the grounds and came back with a sizable laceration to his cheek. I immediately rang Fishguard vets at 1 am and was told to bring him in. Those wonderful people treat equines and farm animals too as well as pets. The vet on duty was kind, caring, reassuring and professional. Alfie was sedated and wound expertly stitched. When fur grows back there will barely be a scar. Fantastic care. We couldn't be more grateful. The best thing is the emergency services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Can't ask for better than that. Update three weeks later. All healed so well. Alfie's happy and we're delighted. This was a really great procedure and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you so much.

This vet is top tier, great staff, very friendly and kind, but most importantly they are fantastic with your companion. They are not our local vet, we were staying in a campsite nearby, when our dog got another dog's cheaply made tether caught in his eye lid (new fear unlocked) when they were playing. We quickly searched, this vet popped up, we rushed there on a Saturday morning and fortunately they were just opening. Explained what had just happened in a panic and that we are not regulars, they took us in, calmed us down (I needed it more than my dog) and saw my dog Frank immediately, while reassuring us the whole time. The receptionist was brilliant, so was the vet. Vet was very experienced, knew exactly what he was dealing with, treated my best friend with the upmost respect, could tell he really cared. Fortunately we got lucky and the damage wasn't as bad as it looked. But still, we got first class treatment, and our dog following a checkup with our regular vet once back off holiday 10 days later, said he was healing up perfectly and that the vet we saw did everything they would have done! And we love our regular vet as they are extremely thorough with our best friend. *The photo I've included is just of my dog when they used dye to see if his eye was damaged, luckily very superficial, but just to show how thorough they were. The medicine they prescribed and care advice given, worked perfectly. The damage is now completely gone!
