STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS My mum called this vet for advice because my pregnant cat seemed like she might be having complications while I was away staying with my partner in London. Instead of properly reassuring us or giving advice, they immediately started listing concerning possibilities and told my mum she needed to bring her in within the next hour. My mum has no experience with pregnant cats and it honestly felt like they took advantage of that fear and panic. When she arrived, they took my cat away and refused to let my mum go with her. While waiting, my mum and the entire waiting room heard my cat screaming at the top of her lungs. She has never made a sound like that before or since. They then started claiming there were multiple serious problems and said she needed an emergency C-section, despite not even being able to tell us how many kittens she was carrying after scanning her. The whole thing just felt like constant pressure and scaremongering to push unnecessary treatment and extra costs. They then refused to let me pay because I was in London, and because of that refusal they also refused to release my cat. The entire experience was incredibly distressing for my mum and clearly traumatising for my cat. As soon as she got home, she gave birth naturally and completely fine almost immediately, with no complications at all. After everything we had been told, it only confirmed to us that the situation had been massively exaggerated and caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress for both my mum and my cat and £300 bill. Based on our experience, I genuinely would not recommend taking your animals here. We left feeling like money was prioritised far above the wellbeing of the animals in their care.

I used this vets for a few number of years, I can't fault the veterinarian's always nice friendly and informative, but few times now the receptionists one in particular are just rude, ill mannered and quite frankly speak to you like dirt. For this reason I have moved on, unless the staff gets sorted I wouldn't recommend this veterinary.
