About The Veterinary Centre - Henley
Welcome to Henley Vets Ltd T/A The Veterinary Centre! Located in the beautiful county of Oxfordshire, England, our practice is devoted to improving the quality of life of your pets. We’re happy to offer a wide range of veterinary services for pets of all shapes and sizes - from cats and dogs to birds and exotic animals - and our knowledgeable and highly-skilled staff are always available to provide advice and support.
At The Veterinary Centre, our mission is to provide excellent veterinary care to our patients while building lasting relationships with their owners. We know that pet health and wellbeing is important to you, which is why our practice is open Monday to Saturday with extended opening hours until 8 pm on weekdays, ensuring that our clients can access our services at a time that suits them.
Our team of vets is led by Miss Fiona Blair, a Director of the practice, who has extensive experience in caring for all kinds of animals. She is supported by experienced and qualified veterinary surgeons, Dr Erik D’Arcy-Donnelly, Dr Louise de Ban, Miss Maggie Deste, and Dr Shayara Fernando, who are all committed to providing top-quality veterinary care for your pets.
Our team of veterinary nurses is headed by Miss Sarah Whittaker, a qualified RVN DipAVN(Surgical) nurse. She leads a team of skilled veterinary nurses, including Miss Stephanie Acton, Miss Sandra Bonner, Mrs Emma Fowler and Miss Deborah Horley. This team has the passion and expertise to help your pets feel comfortable and healthy.
At The Veterinary Centre, we pride ourselves on the extent of our facilities, such as our client car park and disabled public access, ensuring that clients can enjoy easy access to our practice. Additionally, we believe in making veterinary care more accessible, which is why we open during weekends to cater to clients who have busy schedules during the weekdays.
We are proud to offer comprehensive veterinary services tailored to the needs of your pets, including health checks, vaccinations, dental care and surgery. For those pets who require hospitalization, our practice facilities are equipped with modern equipment and technology to ensure they receive the best possible care. Our services extend to domestic, wild, and even poultry animals, making us a one-stop-shop for all your pet needs.

We’ve been taking our dog here since she was a puppy (she’s now 15 months old), and we couldn’t be happier with the care she’s received. The whole team is friendly, accessible, and professional — always taking the time to explain things and make sure our dog feels comfortable. It’s also really easy to book appointments and arrange check-ups, which makes everything stress-free. Highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a caring and reliable vet!

We have been taking our various cats to The Veterinary Centre in Henley (and the Twyford branch surgery) for the last 20+ years. The care and treatment they have received is exceptional. The excellent vets and vet nurses are very caring and helpful, as well as focussed on providing the best possible advice and treatment for our cat. Everyone I’ve met in the team at both Henley and Twyford is friendly, kind and considerate. Every visit I am impressed with the kindness and care shown not only to my cat but also to me. Thank you to the team, and especially Anneli, Helen and Debbie. Henley Vets are very highly recommended!

The team at Henley Vets have been treating my animals for over 20 years now - through the good times and the hard times. I have always valued their ability to combine their professional expertise with my knowledge of any of my pets.... most recently with my elderly dog. Their common sense and caring approach combined with a genuine desire to consider the best way forward for him has been such a relief.....for him and me! Despite his sometimes challenging behaviour the whole team are always so enthusiastic and friendly when we arrive. I really can't recommend them enough.
