We have come in on multiple separate occasions for different problems with our miniature dachshund and everytime the vet doesn’t have a single clue as to what is wrong. They have even turned to us before to ask what we think is wrong, which you’d think if we knew we wouldn’t be there… they then later come to the conclusion of ‘I think something is wrong but I don’t know what’ proceeding to give us £80-100+ worth of medication for an unknown diagnosis… the vets seem to be very inexperienced and therefore extremely unhelpful. This is not just a once or twice experience, it is every single time we go in. They weren’t even able to diagnose our dogs multiple broken ribs which we later discovered through another vet. Shocking and would avoid at all costs.

Dr Brogan Patrick and the whole reception team was very kind and professional at our difficult times with our cat. During the entire process they showed great value and shared our feelings. I cant recommend them highly enough!

They are the best vets in the area, really great and friendly customer service, reasonable prices and you can tell the team they have really do care about your pets. I dealt with Rachel when i had an emergency with my cat and she was so sweet and supportive and it all got sorted out asap. Really amazing and have been here numerous times over the years with my cats, would rate it more stars if i could

Brought in a bird for simple beak and nail clip, dead in 5 minutes - 0 stars. I brought my pet bird for a routine claw/beak trim, expecting a careful manual trim with an assistant's help. The vet didnt seem to even know about placing a stick a bird’s mouth, clipped her beak too short and bled (had never happened before at home). Staff then took her to a back room and from what I later witnessed sedated her without my consent— with no risks or alternatives were discussed. She died within minutes leaving my son distraught. Just as a reality check, UK research clearly shows avian anaesthesia carries real risks (≈4% anaesthesia-related mortality; risks rises sharply in unwell or older birds, up to ~15.5× higher). They should be consulting owners, explaining risk and given the choice; and if there are age/health concerns (as the vet later claimed), sedation for a basic grooming procedure should be avoided. I could not possibly recommend this practice for avian care.
Caveat Emptor, you’ve been warned, I hope they treat other animals better… Interestingly reading other reviews it seems over-use of anaesthesia killing otherwise healthy animals is quite common. Great for Euthanasia though I guess…?
