Such love and care for animals. Our dog needed overnight emergency care , and that care was exceptional not just to our dog but to us too. Everyone there was caring and respectful and explained everything to us including the financial side of things. I hope we never need there service again, but would definitely recommend

I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the care and compassion you showed our cat, Tank on 24th Nov 2025 Dr Amy explained all of the options clearly and answered every one of our questions with patience and understanding. Although it was an extremely difficult moment for our family, her calm guidance helped us make the kindest decision for Tank. When it was time to say goodbye, Dr Amy and the team there made sure we had the space, privacy, and time we needed. The arrangements she provided allowed us to sit with Tank, talk to him, and spend our final moments together in the most peaceful way possible. We are truly thankful for that.

We had to take our cat, Nectar, to Holly House out of hours, and the care we received was exceptional. The team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, which made such a stressful situation a little easier to handle. They explained everything clearly and treated Nectar with such kindness and respect. It’s reassuring to know that such great care is available when you need it most. I’d highly recommend Holly House for anyone needing out-of-hours vet services. Thank you to the team for everything you did for us and for Nectar!

If you have an exotic pet such as an Axolotl and cannot see Tom then AVOID..!! Just spent essentially two hours with my daughter transporting our very ill axolotl there only to be seen by a junior cat and dog vet (not as told in the phone) who didn’t know anything about axolotls and had to relay everything to the ‘exotic vet’ who was upstairs and in other rooms but couldn’t be bothered to come in and asses or discuss herself.! Have gone round and round discussing antibios that had previously worked on another specimen the ‘exotic vet’ then backtracked to tubbing..! A basic DIY treatment suggested over Facebook but not for something so advanced that the film on the body is coming off leaving it gasping for air! A wasted ‘emergency’ journey the cost two hours and £50 leaving us with a still very poorly Axolotl! An absolute joke of poor service by people that should know better!! Disgraceful!

They were supposed to be on call today as it was bank holiday. Multiple calls from other vet practices were being redirected to them for emergencies but they do not answer the phone. We were ringing all day today, the woman who answers the phone was mumbling something in her mouth, so low so we could not hear her. When we were asking to speak a bit louder so we can communicate she would hang up on us. Multiple calls all the same. We rang many times try to book in an appointment, every time the same issue. They would hand up on us and never called back. Going through the automated message all nice and clear and then this woman answers the phone talking in such low voice to make it impossible to hear what she was saying and then would hang up on us. Thankfully we got to see another lovely vets in Bradford who were very friendly and saw us almost immediately. If you do not want calls after hours, do not advertise it.

⸻ Losing my dog was devastating. What made it even more painful was the way communication was handled throughout my experience. When I first called because my dog had collapsed, I was told they were dealing with another emergency and to call back in ten minutes. At that moment, it was truly a life-or-death situation. Pet owners need immediate guidance, reassurance, or clear triage direction in emergencies. Being asked to simply call back left me feeling unsupported during the most critical moment. Tragically, my dog was put to sleep due to a splenic bleed — a situation the vets could not have changed. Afterwards, when I raised concerns, I was advised there was a 14-day timeframe in relation to my complaint. This was later described as a misunderstanding. I understand that miscommunications can happen; however, clarity and consistency are especially important when someone is grieving and seeking answers. The shifting explanation added confusion and unnecessary stress at an already traumatic time. Rather than clear accountability, responses often felt focused on process rather than acknowledging the emotional impact of the situation. Clients should not have to repeatedly push for clarity when raising legitimate concerns. While reports were eventually provided, the overall handling of communication added avoidable distress during an already heartbreaking experience. I hope Holly House reflects seriously on how communication, triage procedures, ownership, and empathy are delivered in situations where pets’ lives are at stake

Obviously they help and care for animals but prices are astronomical, insurance were shocked at the prices and refused to pay out the full amount because there charges were predatory. Would not recommend this vet at all. Wolf in sheep's clothing.
