We have being using James Horner vets for about 2 years now. Every member of staff is professional and we are always given plenty of time at appointments, always feeling that we are listened too and never rushed. The staff are caring and have been very supportive during our dogs cruciate ligament surgery recovery which lasted for 4 months. I would highly recommend James Horner and his team.

Sparkle has dramatically improved with her walking and she is relaxed enough to hop up on the sofa and snuggle on the bed again. She was super scared to go into hydrotherapy at first but everything went at her pace and now she absolutely loves going in. We see a big improvement in her every time we go and she has avoided being put on strong painkillers thanks to all of the exercises, hydrotherapy and lazer therapy that she has done. We couldn't recommend the wellbeing centre enough and Horners vets are all amazing too. Sparkle loves going in to see everyone and she sees the same vet every time. Such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere makes such a big difference and Sparkle drags us in every time we visit.

Switched to Horner Vets after being let down by the attitude of staff and at a different vet. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly and always treat you and your pet with care and respect. Our Golden Retriever puppy, Barney, has visited a few times and everybody he has met at Horner Vets has been fantastic with him. We are on the gold plan which has been excellent value for money so far. WhatsApp as a contact option is really good too. Great to have an independent vet option in the local area. Practice is always spotless too and AC inside is a lifesaver on the hot summer days! Barney says thanks! ❤️🦮

I am utterly horrified by the service provided, particularly by "Dr." Hollie Furey. Let me start from the beginning. On the morning of 15th July my cat, Mr Kittens, suddenly became ill in the morning and was in severe pain. We called James Horner Vets immediately and we arrived to the appointment around noon. "Dr." Furey’s immediate reaction was to suggest reserving an operating room for the next day to amputate the leg—without running any tests, properly examining my cat, or showing any sympathy or common sense. Her first guess was a blood clot. This happened within the first two minutes of us entering the office. My husband insisted that we would not agree to any operation before conducting tests. So, we left our cat for X-rays to ensure nothing was broken and other tests to rule out blood clots, neurological conditions, etc. After the clinic also performed blood tests and claimed to have conducted heart scans, "Dr." Furey failed to properly test or assess his heart that day, despite having plenty of time because Mr Kittens was under anesthesia. Despite all these tests, she missed an extremely dangerous, life-threatening, and progressed heart condition - Restrictive Cardiomyopathy. Instead, she focused solely on the blood glucose levels, suggesting diabetes. We received a phonecall during the day from "dr" Furey, that she suspects an extreme case of diabetic neuropathy which caused the paralysis. Ultimately, we spent nearly £1,000 on Monday for a misdiagnosis of an extremely dangerous condition—one where every second mattered— they failed to treat or even identify the problem for two days. A few minutes after we left the clinic on the 15th July, "Dr." Furey called my husband again after consulting with her colleagues, including James Horner, and suggested that we bring our cat back the following morning to start diabetes medication while awaiting more test results. On Tuesday morning, I brought my cat back. Furey assured me that everything else was looking fine - his heart, leg, other blood indicators didn't matter—so it must be diabetes. However, by lunchtime, they called my husband to say they had performed another heart scan (this time without anaesthesia) and discovered that his heart was severely enlarged. Now they claimed it was heart disease, not diabetes, and suggested euthanasia. So, all of the tests, procedures, and money spent on Monday were completely wasted. By Tuesday evening, after paying another £500, we went to pick up our cat. We asked if he had been given the anti-clotting medication, which was crucial given his condition and its severity. It was around 6 p.m.—nearly two full days after he had been suffering. It was another "dr",Katherine Hull, who shockingly admitted that she hadn’t given him the medication yet and was waiting for us to arrive. We were the ones who had to give him the medication—which is absolutely infuriating, especially after all the time that was already wasted because of their incompetence. On Tuesday, we pre-booked a pet hospital in another country and planned to get there as soon as he was discharged. We consulted with several other vets on Monday and showed them all of the test results, which promptly led them to the conclusion that it is a heart condition, based on the deficits in the blood tests that "Dr." Furey conveniently ignored. Before leaving, we asked if Mr Kittens was stable enough to travel. Every other vet we’ve spoken to has been horrified by the care at your clinic. You not only robbed us of £1,500 but, more importantly, you wasted the most crucial hours of my cat’s illness. You should have administered the medication immediately, but instead, you wasted time. It’s not just "Dr." Furey who is at fault. They have no compassion and no true love for animals. They only care about money. Their solution was either to amputate his leg or put him down but not before running a bunch of useless and expensive tests.
