Avoid at all costs So this Wednesday our cat suffered a Saddle Thrombus and was in absolute agony, we knew it was an immediate life threatening condition, I called the Llantrisant practice and explained that we needed to get there urgently, the horrible receptionist just said we are fully booked and none of the vets have the time and that Brackla was our only option but again not immediately but later in the day, this was absolutely sickening and distressing to hear and I pleaded with her that the cat wouldn’t make it. I eventually just hung up after pleading upon cold, dead and dismissive ears. Called another vet and was told to get the cat there immediately and he was seen within 15 mins, sadly we knew the likely outcome but that wasn’t the point. The cat was in agony, what happened to “first do no harm”? Needless to say we will be taking all our business and animals elsewhere. Shocking, sad and to be honest a disgrace to the practice. I conclude that they care more about profits by clipping gasping wheezing pugs than about dire emergencies, as it’s more profitable

The care my dog Myfanwy recieved this past 2 weeks was excellent. Everything explained and all blood panels shown to us. Kind and friendly staff. Myfanwy is now as fit and happy as a 15yr old dog can be. 🐕

Greeted warmly on arrival, appointment was on time, the vet was friendly, gentle with my cat, did a thorough check and administered his booster without any discomfort to him. Maes Glas Veterinary Practice is excellent, that’s why I have put the care of my animals in their hands for over 20 years.

I’m very pleased with the reception staff and the veterinarian. Poppy was not at all concerned whilst having her vaccination. My only complaint is that when I booked her appointment, I ordered more flea and worm tablets which normally I collect as a given time. It would have been more helpful had these been prepared beforehand then I would not have had to wait so long to receive them. I understand if they are ordered on the day that I would have to wait for the prescription, but they were ordered several weeks ago. Thank you for making Poppy’s experience comfortable

The best vets I have ever been to. Always friendly staff and the vets are really good when it comes to the examination by explaining everything to you as they are going along and give advice when needed. The booking system couldn't be any easier, either by phone or the online booking system. I will never leave this vet practice.

Always great service. Friendly receptionist who was not very busy and made a fuss of my dog and offered a treat . The vet was fabulous, great with my dog and listened to what I had to say

The best vets around I have been taking Roxy to them for 11 years. Very professional and polite staff that put your mind at ease when your pet has an issue that needs sorting.
