Valley Vets

My name is Bandit and I am a 12 week old Cardigan Corgi. It was my first visit to Valley Vets and I saw a vet called Alex. He was gentle whilst giving me a head to tail examination as well as my second vaccine. Alex was knowledgeable answering questions posed by my owners and he was also able to advise them on issues of concern in a very professional manner. Overall I enjoyed my visit - especially the fuss I received from the nurses (especially Nichi). I’ll be back!

Huge thanks to all staff at Valley Vets for making our pet happy during his visits. Alison Jones was fantastic with our dog, we even had a wagging tail during his visit! Our dog also loves his regular visits for hydrotherapy with Aly Redmond. The care and support of the staff is truly exceptional.

We’d like to thank all the wonderful team at Valley Vets for taking such kind care of our dog Ellie when she had an injury last week. She is a nervous dog, but the compassion and understanding that all the staff have shown both in and out of hours meant that she successfully received the treatment she needed with minimal stress. We had a great experience with the Valley Vets so far! They are profesional and the clinic is amazing. We had an emergency recently with our dog and we received the help we needed quickly and efficiently. I would like to highlight the profesionalism and care of the vet Candela. Our recent appointment with her left us really impressed by how well she addressed all the questions we had and concerns over our dog. In half an hour she managed to take care of multiple aspects of our dogs health. Strongly recommend her to anyone in search for a trusted veterinarian! We will definitely come back!

We cant thank the team at Valley Vets enough for taking care of our boy and us, at a really difficult time. The team were so caring and compassionate, they treated our dog as their own. Forever grateful for how they acted in his last moments.

Do not recommend - No compassion and the communication was awful throughout. I had no choice but for my dog to be transferred there following surgery, and sadly she didn’t make it. We were given estimates, but then received an invoice for more than double the quoted amount. The level of care and communication was extremely disappointing and low at such a difficult time. The website proudly states, “Outstanding care for the pets of Cardiff,” but unfortunately my experience was the complete opposite. The level of care, communication, and professionalism I encountered fell far below what was advertised. I expected compassion, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare, yet I was left feeling ignored, frustrated, and deeply disappointed with how both my pet and I were treated. What makes this even more upsetting is the contrast between the clinic’s marketing and the reality of the service provided. Promises of “outstanding care” create trust and reassurance for pet owners, especially during stressful situations, but my experience did not reflect those values at all. Instead of feeling supported and confident in the care my pet was receiving, I came away questioning the standards and overall quality of the service. A formal complaint has been raised and I will be taking this further. I would not recommend this practice to other pet owners and would advise people to carefully consider alternative vets if they want reliable, compassionate, and genuinely professional care for their pets. If I could do 0 Star then I would. 1 is being too kind.
