I cannot thank the whole team at MediVet Llandaff North enough — especially Dr Joao Bigares, and also the kind and supportive receptionists and nurses. The moments we always arrive, he is incredibly kind, calm, and reassuring. He takes the time to listen carefully, examine my dog thoroughly, and explain everything in a way that is clear and easy to understand. What really stands out to me is how consistently attentive he is to every detail — nothing ever feels rushed. Dr Joao is not only very knowledgeable, but also genuinely compassionate and empathetic. He understands both the pet and the owner, and you can really feel that he cares. He always makes me feel supported and reassured during a stressful situation. Today he also went above and beyond to help with practical things like guidance around treatment options and insurance, which I really appreciated. I truly feel my dog is in the best possible hands with him. It’s rare to meet a vet who combines such professionalism with genuine warmth and kindness. Dr Bigares has also been a wonderful vet for my cat, always kind, friendly, and genuinely caring, which makes me trust him completely with my pets. Not to mention the wonderful nurses and reception team, who always remember my my dogs name, ask how he is, and show such genuine care — they are always so kind, polite, and welcoming. Highly recommend Dr Joe and the MediVet team.

After a sudden decline of health for our very old Staffy girl Mia left us totally devastated and needing to get her here quickly. After a distressing conversation with a vet nurse we were given a time soon after, after they made a slight adjustment to their appointments. We arrived distraught knowing our Beautiful girl would not return home with us. Us both and Mia were shown compassion, understanding and time and they were so gentle with her. We felt the love and dedication the nurses have to work with animals and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do. We Can't wait to have her back home again, while her spirit flys high in a pain free warm sunny meadow. 💔

Such caring staff. Brought my stray in for his first vet check. They were so understanding of his fear of people. They took their time moved slow and used treats to make him feel comfortable. He had a great first time experience which will make his next trip even easier.

I've put my cat in my parents' home for now. This vet has helped me and my cat a lot in the past year. My cat was spayed and neutered here.Astor has been very healthy and has only contracted conjunctivitis once and had a very small patch of shedding on his legs. The vet and other staff at this shop have been very friendly and patient, responding to emails promptly and providing me with all the paperwork I need. The vet is always busy. I always wanted the best for Astor. And I feel necessary to give them a favourable review.
