I took my dog for nail clipping recently, and, as ever, the veterinary nurse was so helpful and gentle with Toffee, and calmed her down as she always gets very jumpy and nervous on a visit. I have been a customer for many years and highly recommend them.

Clara finds the visit to the vet extremely stressful, I am very fortunate that Maltman Cosham always accommodate Clara and allow her the time to feel comfortable even if that means being seen outside in the car park. Beth is exceptionally helpful and really does ensure that any visit is as calm and a positive time to try to reassure Clara. This really helps me to ensure her health and wellbeing is maintained even with her nervousness.

All the staff from reception through to nurses and vets are friendly and welcoming. They give you as much time as you need and are kind and gentle with your pet and very transparent about options and treatments.

Following the practice’s investigation into my complaint, I feel it’s important to update my review based on the full outcome. I had a clear note recorded on my account stating that all communication must be via email only. Despite this, I received a telephone call regarding my account. During that call, after correctly answering security questions, I was told twice that I was not the account holder and the caller refused to engage further before terminating the call. In their final response, the practice confirmed they are unable to explain why this occurred. They also confirmed that the relevant call was not recorded, meaning there is no objective evidence supporting their conclusion that protocol was followed. As part of my Data Subject Access Request, I was provided with internal correspondence which which shows discussion around managing public responses and presenting the matter as resolved, despite the underlying issues remaining disputed. Despite acknowledging key aspects of the incident, the complaint was closed without a clear explanation of how this situation arose or how it was deemed acceptable. I believe this reflects serious issues in both communication handling and complaint investigation processes. I will add screenshots of the original complaint and willing to edit with objective evidence to support this review. I have written this so others can make an informed decision. Prior to the information revealed in my SAR, I would have still recommended them. No more.

I have the pleasure of working with M&C on a professional and personal level and cannot fault them. The whole team are always kind, courteous and respectful but most importantly they care so much about what they do. My daughters kitten was in for a spay and I think she had a thoroughly lovely day. It was obvious that the whole team gave her a lot of love and fuss and treated her as if she was their own pet. I can't thank them enough. I have been a client since they first opened and would never go anywhere else. I trust them implicitly. Hannah.... Wotsit sends cuddles your way ❤

I highly recommend this veterinary practice. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I needed an urgent appointment for my daughter’s dog who I was looking after, the receptionist fitted me in within a couple of hours. Poppy, the vet, who treated Koda, was delightful, very kind, caring and compassionate, monitoring Koda throughout the day, very good after care too. Thank you all for your care and attention!

Having worked in veterinary practices for many years, I am very impressed with the excellent care and kindness shown to my dog (and myself!) by all the staff at Maltman Cosham and I highly recommend them to other owners. Ruby is always very happy to attend appointments and even to spend the day there without a backward glance when she’s admitted!

The team are lovely. We recently had an appointment for all our animals & the vet lent a hand to take them in to the practice & back out to our car. We've been client's from the founding days of the practice & will recommend them
