The staff at Medivet on Colney Hatch Lane are wonderful! I took my cats in for a check up & vaccinations last week - the vet was calm, gentle and unhurried meaning minimal stress for two very hot cats and peace of mind for me

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Medivet Muswell Hill. I brought my dachshund Rosie in after she appeared uncomfortable at home, however by the time we arrived at the practice she seemed much improved and was moving around normally. She was diagnosed with suspected IVDD and prescribed meloxicam. Shortly afterwards, Rosie became extremely unwell with severe gastrointestinal symptoms and required several days of hospitalisation. Her discharge notes stated the episode was suspected to be secondary to meloxicam administration. What concerned me most was that subsequent examinations by both another Medivet vet and a separate veterinary practice did not identify any spinal problem. I appreciate that adverse reactions can happen and I’m grateful for the care Rosie received once hospitalised, however I remain concerned that medication with known gastrointestinal risks was prescribed too quickly without a more cautious “monitor and review” approach first being considered. I was also disappointed by the response to my complaint and did not feel that the seriousness of the situation or the impact it had on me was properly acknowledged. The compensation offered was minimal considering the circumstances and ongoing financial impact following the insurance claim. Sadly, the overall experience caused me to lose confidence in the practice and I have since transferred Rosie’s care elsewhere.

Very pleased with the care and treatments for two cats. Doctor Amy is very knowledgeable , kind and patient . She gave us tablets right away for our cats and very good advise for their care. The people are nice however the other day I was waiting for my appointment. The manager openly decided to try and set off the fire alarm while I was inside with my dog. This is very upsetting as this can be distressing for my dog. Also my friend lost her cat and we put up a poster around and we thought our local vet can be kind enough to help, nope the manager ripped the poster and asked for it to be thrown away. How is this a company for animals yet they can’t do a simple thing of helping my friend find her cat. Management they need to improve how they can help people with lost pets as well to consider how to act in front of their clients. Vet clinics are to care for animals to have sympathy not just a business of recklessness. Medivet do better.

Amazed! I cannot get past my experience today. I recently changed to this vet and got on their healthcare plan for my two cats, which is incredible value for money seeing what they provide during one year. I had the pleasure of meeting Karolina, who gave great advice while being effortlessly hilarious, was so professional and direct, and got my cats to instantly warm up to her (which is never the normal!). Also had the pleasure of speaking with Joe who is so informative, answered all my questions with ease and made the end to my visit lovely. If you love your pets and want genuine well rounded advice with excellent treatment at an unbeatable price for the service, I suggest changing to Medivet ASAP!!!

Highly recommend this practice thanks to Karolina - very experienced, knowledgeable and attentive vet. Karolina helped our dog Charlie on several occasions, who recovered after single visit while following Karolina’s treatment plan
