I came from another vets to medivet valley way i found them so warm and caring I had to have my cat put down they were brilliant with him and they sedated before they put him down to keep him calm they were fantastic with him now I have taken my puppy there and they were fantastic with him . They are so much cheaper than a few vets and they still have time to talk to you about your pet just because they are cheaper they dont rush you out and spend time with your pet and are so caring with your pet and really look after your pet .I would recommend them to friends and family great vets and girls at front desk are kind and caring

The best care I’ve ever received for my dogs Nahla, Loki and Kylie. From the reception team Jess and Gail who always know who you are on both a personal level and professional, to the care in surgery with Chris and Letre. Loki my GSD loves all the staff it’s like a day out and the staff love seeing him. Nahla my first had a very bad experience at another surgery so the team always adapted for Nahla to make her experience a positive one. I’m extremely lucky to have a team that treat my dogs like their own.

I highly recommend Medivet Stevenage, they cared really well for my old dog, it never felt like they were just trying to get money out of us, as they would let us know if we could get medication cheaper online etc and when we had to say goodbye to him in 2024 they made the goodbye as pleasant as something like that could be, gave us the time we needed, didn't rush us out of the clinic. I've now got a 1 year old puppy who's also at Medivet and again, they've really looked after her, we got her spayed and their price of this was half of what my sister-in-law was quoted for her puppy at a different vet. The staff are always so welcoming and it's easy to book appts online or over the phone.

Our sweet Gizzy suddenly became unwell a few weeks ago, and after feeling unsure about the advice we received from our original vet, we visited Medivet for a second opinion—and we’re so grateful we did. The team there were incredibly kind, knowledgeable and reassuring, and they acted quickly to help us understand what was happening. Although the news about Gizzy’s lymphoma was heartbreaking, their compassion, care and honesty made an incredibly difficult time a little easier. They supported us every step of the way and even sent a thoughtful condolence card after Gizzy peacefully passed on 30/11. When the time is right for us to welcome a new furry friend, we’ll definitely be returning to Medivet. Thank you to the whole Medivet team for everything — your kindness, care and support meant the world to us and to Gizzy.

I really can’t fault Valley Vets. Chris and the staff have always gone out of their way to support me and my GSD throughout her 14 years. They have always shown empathy and understanding, they try to help in any way they can and Chris has amazing patience. As busy as they get they will endeavour to fit you in asap and go above and beyond when it comes to following up on progress of my pet. I’m really thankful to be a member of Valley vets and my dog seems to enjoy attending appointments.even if she then can’t wait to get out afterwards 🐾

Our 12 year old girl came in for spaying and removal of a lump which was getting bigger to be sent off and tested, also had some teeth removed while under anesthetic. The vet and all the staff at valley vets have been very good, kind, helpful and informative, she's currently recovering and doing well considering so thankyou.

This practice has never been the same since being taken over by medivet. One of the receptionists is incredibly patronising and rude, I have had uncomfortable and negative experiences when interacting with her, and I am noticing an increase in vets with poor practice and skills. We were very worried about our animal and have been following the care instructions provided from our previous vet visits, only to go in and be treated horrifically. This vet in particular made us feel pressured, and humiliated. It felt as though she was demanding we do what she, “would do” in our situation, despite us explaining our situation and how the advice of multiple other vets differ to her. She was uncomfortably passive aggressive towards us, not allowing us to get a word in. We were made to feel like children, emotionally guilted, and made to feel as though we were bad pet owners. ( her word were “I just traveled 5 hours for my animal to be seen and paid £4k, obviously knowing not everyone has the finances or means to travel miles to a specialist! I understand that she is the ‘professional’ but she also kept repeating that she was also no expert in “exotic animals” so when she was challenged- us explaining how these recommendations would extremely stress our pet out (which we would know… she’s our pet.) we would be made to feel like we were wrong, full stop. Even in regards to our pets likes and dislikes. I’m disgusted with the way we were treated.
