After over 25 years and my family over 40 years with this practice I find myself having to write a negative review. I live in torquay and chose a vet near my home to fit in around my working hours. Now since October they have closed the torquay practice due to can't find a vet? OK maybe there is a shortage of vets, however I pay £16 a month for flea drops plus 2 check ups ,also yearly vaccinations and her claws cut twice per annum. My cat dosnt travel well in the car to visit Kingsteignton so I cut her claws. After a conversation via phone today I was astonished that if I can't pick her medication up then they can post at a charge? Really they are quids in coz my job plus my cat can't travel. Really a very negative experience uncaring and feeling no love of there so called caring nature towards our beautifully loved pets. Where am I going to find a practice to take on my beautiful 15 y/o cat? I feel like they are laughing at me and raking in the money. If you have a new pet then just avoid. Very very sad to have to write this after all these years.

The entire team at Powderham are truly amazing people and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The reception staff always know me, my dog and cat and are always so friendly and welcoming! They all truly do care about you, your pet and their wellbeing. They cared for our dog, Dolly, all her life who had lots of complications throughout and was 11 when she passed away with cancer but they also helped me when I most needed it helping me to come to terms with everything that was happening at the time. Amazing people and the surgery is always immaculate and clean too!

Powderham vets have looked after both of my Bernese mountain dogs. They looked after me when I lost one dog prematurely. And now look after my very nervous little girl Maggie. The nurses are always so good with Maggie and keep her relaxed. We always feel very looked after. Thank you 😊

Very professional and helpful service. Sadly my little girl was diagnosed with Diabetes on Monday but passed away on Wednesday, we received a lot of help from the staff at Powderham Vets right up to the final moments and after life arrangements.
