Extended my dogs life with care and compassion. They genuinely cared and were not money orientated, thank you Rachel.

Our beloved Vizsla Hugo was under the care of Roker Park Vets throughout his life. I always had so much faith in Mr Murphy and was more than a bit concerned when we heard he had retired. We needn't have worried as Rory and the team have proved a more than capable replacement. Luckily Hugo wasn't in frequent need of Veterinary attention but on the odd occasion we needed an appointment we were always seen promptly and Rory would always take the time to explain any symptoms and discuss different treatment options before deciding which suited Hugo best. In a time when we hear so much about Corporate Veterinary Practices pushing owners into costly treatments which may not always be best for the animal I can honestly say that Rory always has the best interest of the animal at heart, a quality I would value above all others when choosing a Vet. When Hugo had a medical emergency last week i rang and took him in straight away with no appointment. Rory examined him and scanned him immediately, sadly it wasn't good news and we had to make the decision that every dog owner dreads Again Rory explained everything so clearly .he took so much time to make sure we understood the situation. He was sympathetic and professional and again had only Hugo's best interests at heart. An awful day for all of us but made more bearable by the superb treatment our best friend had right until the end. When we feel ready to have a new Puppy in our family we will do so happy in the knowledge we have such a fabulous Vet just down the road. Thanks to all of the Team for taking such good care of our precious boy for the almost 12 years we were lucky enough to have him.

The vets are all lovely but the communication is really bad. We lost our dog recently and the situation was made worse by having to wait from 9am to 7.30pm for 3 days in a row to speak to a vet. The practice were aware of the situation so you would think they would make time to call back in timely manner it caused more stress during a very difficult time.

We can’t thank Roker Park Veterinary enough for the care they’ve given our beloved dog Tommy over the past 16 years. Every visit, we were met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion from the whole team. When the time came to say goodbye, they offered the option for a home visit, an additional cost, but worth every penny. It meant Tommy could go to sleep peacefully in his own home, surrounded by love and free from any anxiety. Rory and his assistant were so gentle and respectful in those final moments, which brought us so much comfort. You can truly see that everyone at Roker Park Vets is passionate about what they do. Their compassion and dedication to the animals they care for is clear in every interaction. We’re so grateful for everything they’ve done for Tommy, and for us.

Roker Park Veterinary in Sunderland is truly exceptional! Dr. Rori and the entire team went above and beyond for our beloved Westie, Shelrock. After visiting multiple vets who failed to identify his illness, we finally found the expertise and dedication we desperately needed at Roker Park. Dr. Rori’s professionalism and keen eye for detail made all the difference. Thanks to their thorough approach, they quickly pinpointed what was wrong and got Shelrock the treatment he needed. Beyond their medical expertise, what truly sets this veterinary practice apart is their genuine love and care for animals. Throughout every exam and treatment, Shelrock was showered with cuddles and affection, making an otherwise stressful experience so much easier for both him and us. The entire team is incredibly kind, helpful, and compassionate. They don’t just treat pets—they bond with them, making sure they feel safe and loved. I will always be grateful for the exceptional care Shelrock received here. If you’re looking for a veterinary practice that truly puts your pet first, Roker Park Veterinary is the place to go!
