I can’t praise or thank Moorgate Rotherham Vets4Pets enough for their excellent , dedicated commitment, care and attention received by Lyla . Never known anything like this in over 35 years of being a pet owner. Eric and his entire team (we met them all as in and out a lot) have been amazing in the short time we were with them , so much was done including ongoing assessments, treatment and referral to an excellent Behavioural Vet Practitioner.. we have relocated to another part of the country , so sad we won’t be able to use their services . Thoroughly recommend ! Truly holistic service - prompt and helpful at all times .

I have been taking my staffy here for 13 years and never had a bad experience. Recently had to have him put to sleep and the staff were brilliant. Firstly the two receptionist that day fussed over him and were great with me after when I went to pay. Louise the vet was so understanding and caring. She didn't rush me and explained everything as she went along. I cannot thank you all enough for your care and attention to us.

Lovely staff - I was only there to get my foster cat spayed and chipped but they were very thorough and patient.

Great vets. I was able to get a same-day appointment for my dog, and the team were professional, friendly and genuinely caring. I’d definitely recommend them — a perfect service and experience overall.

Firstly took my kitten who was 7 months at the time, who wasnt eating.. vomiting/constipated and when she did manage to use the bathroom it was liquid. Of course my first point of call VETS FOR PETS MOORGATE. They gave her a anti sickness injection and that was just the start of it all... later with no good results from the injection I take her back for blood tests of course the blood test found nothing, and you know yourself you want you little fur baby to be healthy always so I then put her thru the imagery £1400 at this point they said images just show gas in her stomach so she would need surgery so they could go in and feel what is blocked. Another £1400 they wanted off me at the time my dog was at end of life stage 4 cancer finances due to vet bills was thru the roof I couldn't afford it.. sleep less nights days spent in absolute distress as I was told if I couldn't afford surgery I should put my 7 MONTH OLD kitten to sleep. So I raised funds and was 100 pound short of the bill the vet manager looked me dead in my water filled eyes and said there was nothing they could do... so I went with my gut and took the gastortis medication laxatives. Lenzople and penicillin and low and behold GAS!! £1700 and a absolute horrific fortnight for GAS! She is now on a allergenic diet and is fit and podgey again!!...Never the less I kept the vet plan running and gave them the benefit of the doubt like a fool.. my cat started itching to the point she was causing pain to herself, I take her to vets for pets moorgate where she was given a steroid injection and told me it was fleas !! I fogged the whole house treated her like shes never been treated before .i was charged for the consultation baring in mind i was paying for the vet plan .the injection did work but soon started up not long after... my cat as allergies not fleas poor might I scrubbed her till she was almost raw and the house! Believeing in these people AGAIN!!! NEVER AGAIN. Lesson learnt!!

My cat was diagnosed with a Lymphoma in March 2025 by Dr Eric Rouviere who is supposedly the Practice Owner at the Moorgate branch. I dropped my cat off first thing in the morning for blood tests and an ultra sound. By 11am Dr Rouviere called me with the devastating news that my beloved Mordage had an incurable Lymphoma. I was extremely upset at this news. I was astonished to then be told that he could euthanise her immediately. I immediately said no as I needed to see her and process this news. I decided against his advice and picked her up within an hour. The appointment cost me nearly £1000. I suggested that I put my cat back in the car and then pay at reception as there were many dogs in the waiting room. He said no in a very rude manner and said I should pay first. I paid my bill and left. I took my cat to another independently owned Vet near to where I moved to in Denby Dale for a second opinion. I am delighted to report that Mordage is doing well one year in. She has monthly Steriod injections and is leading a happy and normal life for the time being. I would never use Vets for Pets at Moorgate EVER AGAIN. If I could leave 0 stars I would have done so. Dr Rouviere is unprofessional, has no communication skills and needs to be called out. I have lived in many countries and used many vets. He is THE worst I have had the misfortune to meet. My cat had a lucky escape.

Very poor service. I have my dog on the pet plan. Her worming treatment is never available on time. We have been told on more than one occasion it is ready only to arrive and be told it isn’t and we would have to return. Today I went to collect only to be told they are out of stock. Both myself and my husband currently have fractures and are unable to drive. I struggled to get there and on arrival was told the medication was out of stock and I would have to return. They just take your money and don’t deliver a service. My advice is don’t use this practice

If I could give it Zero stars I would Will never go to a vets for pets again! Avoid this vets at all costs! Inaccurate notes that only cover themselves, missing off important details about conversations and can’t even get vaccination history right potentially leaving pets vulnerable to disease. What else do they miss? Complete lack of empathy and only out for profit that is blatantly clear. Waited 3 weeks to hear back from a complaint that I had submitted only to be told that it was my fault and they are refusing to take any responsibility for their lack of communication to owners leaving pets in pain and uncomfortable! As a good will Gesture they waived a £49 charge for a consultation that was included in my girls spay!
