Tigger has been a patient with them since I brought him home from the rescue centre as an 11 month old puppy over 7 years ago, they have always shown that gentle loving kindness that a dog anxious around what to humans is the undetectable smell of hospitals needs and a total commitment to his care. Recently I moved 40 miles away from the surgery, Tigger was suffering with ear problems, scratching both ears. I called several vets local to my area and all refused to see him without having access to his medical records for 2 weeks prior to them making an appointment. DO I really want to use a Veterinary practice that would have my dog suffer for 2 weeks before offering treatment ? NO I chose to travel 40 minutes by car to Roan Veterinary Practice in Blackpool or Preston where I know Tigger will receive the best care available in a warm loving environment and deprive those uncaring practices of money for their cold calculating attitude to animal health and well being. A huge thank you to all the Staff at Rowan Vets for being compassionate amazing healthcare professionals. Steve

Always very pleased with how my pets and I are treated. Andreea is fabulous with our dogs and they just love her. She has been very supportive of us during a couple of very worrying periods of dog ill-health. Thankfully that is safely behind us now with a happy and elderly dog with a bit longer to look forward to.

Really excellent vets, every time we have been with our nervous dog they have been so good with him, allowing us to come through the back and bypass other dogs in the waiting room. They've even done vaccinations outside on the grass to save taking him inside at all. They've done really thorough examinations despite the nervousness, and always offered good advice. Also the free desensitisation sessions they offer are very helpful, they really want to make pets feel as comfortable as possible. Vets we have seen are Nicole, Amy and Francis and all were brilliant. Reception staff and nurses all friendly and helpful too. Couldn't recommend enough!

If I could no stars I would. My dog had a cough and struggled to breathe at certain points. The vet looked at my dog for around 10 minutes, gave wish washy guesses as to what could be the issue and charged us £75 for the privilege. She prescribed anti inflammatories which cost an additional £26. So £101 for 10 minutes of this vets time. Furthermore once getting home I checked that the exact same anti inflammatories can be purchased online for £7. Do not bother going to this vet, just another mercenary, overcharging, fake pet car service.

I was devastated yesterday knowing that my old dog was really poorly. I rang and made an appointment. From there everything was smooth. When his appointment was due the vet came out for him and helped him cross the rainbow bridge quickly No longer in pain and running freely with his friends Thank you.
