My 8 year old labsky Sasha has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Sore Paws have been excellent with her. She's reactive and hates vet visits but they treat her with such care and went through everything clearly re: insulin injections and let me practice to make sure I was comfortable. They were so so kind and I can't thank them enough for helping us both. Sasha is now on the mend. Special thank you to Laurie, Dr Ross, Dr Agne, Emily, Abbey, Sofie and Jasmine.

I had a very disappointing experience with Sore Paws when my dog went in for a dental procedure. I dropped her off at 08:30 and was told the dental would start around 11:00 once the general anaesthetic was administered. However, I received no updates all day and eventually had to call at 17:00, only to be told the dental hadn't long started at that point. I was asked to make payment over the phone before collecting her at 18:15. When I arrived, she was still heavily sedated. She could barely walk, was drooling excessively, and couldn’t even stand to go to the toilet without my support. It was distressing to see her in that state. In my opinion, the clinic should have postponed the procedure if they were running behind, rather than rushing to complete it so late in the day and sending her home before she was properly recovered. To make matters worse, I was also incorrectly billed, and at no point during any of my three visits (including when I returned due to a complication) did I see or speak to a vet. Overall, my experience left me feeling that Sore Paws prioritises money and high turnover of appointments over the welfare and comfort of the animals in their care. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this veterinary practice.

I recently joined after moving to the area. So far I have been able to get a fast appointment and communication has been fantastic. The vet I saw (I didn't make a note of her name, possibly North American accent) was easily the best I have ever seen. She explained exactly what she was doing and why, she was kind and patient with my cat who is neither 😅, and gave great advice.

I took my 11 year old Border Collie in after he became lethargic and sad. He had tumours around his liver and was very poorly and need to be put to sleep. We were new to the area and this was our only encounter, but the staff were absolutely brilliant, from the reception team, to the vets and nurses, Buddy was the centre of everyone's focus. He was able to go peacefully and dignified and although we are completely devasted at the loss of him, we felt supported by the team. I would definitely recommend using these.

We had to take our 15 year old family dog, Suki, to be put to sleep tonight. It was a very difficult decision but the vet who dealt with us was wonderful and showed such empathy and compassion for us and for little Suki. We are so grateful to the vet for easing the pain of what was a truly heartbreaking decision.
