My husband has recently become a resident here. I can't believe the level of care and compassion given to all the residents. A great effort has been made to find out my husband's hobbies and his past life so they can introduce topics which stimulate him. Lots of entertainment and inclusive activities. The food is home made good and nutritious, and the staff are extremely good at ensuring that all the residents are well fed and hydrated to prevent infections. Myself and my family are always made to feel welcome I miss him terribly, but feel so lucky that he is in the care of Ashgate

We visited Ashgate House today to see a very dear friend who is a resident. We was very impressed with the reception we received and how friendly and professional the staff were. The place was very clean and well maintained. Thank you for your kindness and caring for our very special friend May.

Would not put an animal in this place .never answer the door when you get there kept waiting for at least 10 minutes very under staffed and complaints not dealt with .manager is never around always seems to be upstairs in meetings. I have my father in this place and I don't believe he is getting the care he needs I have tried numerous times to complain but keep getting fobbed off .we never get to go in his room and he has always got someone else s clothes on .this place should be closed down in my opinion due t. When you ring up to book appointments the messages never get passed on an a few times when I get there they have no knowledge that I have booked in a very poor show indeed.o things not being done

This care home is looking after my Auntie and they cannot do more for her. Regular contact with family and we can call whenever we want too! Management on hand to answer any concerns or problems and nurses around the clock. Carers show genuine care and compassion. Thank you
