A HUGE thank you to Emma Parkinson. I brought Fidus here for a second opinion after going to our usual vets yesterday, and having a poor experience. Emma explained everything in detail and answered any questions I had without rushing me out the door, and was lovely to Fidus, ensuring he was comfortable. I’ve left feeling happy, and informed. I can’t thank Emma enough. I will now be moving all 4 of our cats to this Vets.

STAY AWAY FROM We had used this practice for many years We took out a monthly per plan for our family dog in December we had to make the very difficult choice of re homing our dog with a family friend due to my wife’s disability and a hospital admission for a major operation We spoke to carrick to cancel our pet plan which the receptionist was very helpful and advised what we had to do Then out the blue we got an invoice demanding over £100 in 14 days which we obviously questioned to receive a rude phone call plus email then ten days later a debt collection agency absolutely hounded us which we are still fighting and the bill is getting higher and higher and on top of that they are now refusing to keep our 2 elderly cats on there books and have given us a negative report which is now making it difficult to employ another vet STAY AWAY FROM THIS EVIL COMPANY

Really compassionate, lovely vet service. The people that work here obviously care deeply about animals and treat them with such love and respect. We took our little female mutt in to be spayed (a procedure I'd over thought about a lot and which the vet had answered all my questions about without judgement or trying to influence my decision in any way). The operation was a success, all went well and our little dog has been healthy and happy ever since. She genuinely enjoyed going to the vet because she gets so much attention there, and all who work there are very kind to us and her.

Dreadful place , All they are interested in at this practice is how much money they can extract from you, we took our cat here as it was more local to the vets we had previously used, he had been vomiting for a few days, we were told by the vet she needed to take some blood tests and the cost would be £175 this would cover everything to establish what was wrong with our cat, We obviously agreed to this and we’re reassured assured it covered everything for his diagnosis on the day we ended up with a total bill for £370, During the consultation the vet kept saying if this is wrong with him it will cost you this amount , if it’s diabetes it could cost us upto £1000 per month , but there are another options at £x per month. It genuinely seemed it was all about the money money money and not about our cat’s welfare We got a phone call saying the blood tests what come back clear but they needed to send for more test results and we’d need to pay another £175. Or a single text for £65. Again all about getting extra money out of you when all this was supposedly covered , they also tried to sell us a monthly subscription at £30 pm. But they said it didn’t cover the fees 🤷🏼♂️. Joke of a place. Stay clear unless you want your wallet emptied

A sincere thank you to everyone at Carrick Vets for the kindness and compassion showed helping us with the stray cat we brought in. It was heartbreaking to learn that the poor lad couldn’t be saved after we worked so hard over the weekend, but we remain truly grateful for the care, advice and gentleness provided in his final moments. Your support and understanding to all of our pets and strays, past and present, means a lot! Thank you!

As first time dog owners we’ve been so impressed with the care our dog receives. He’s two now and since he was a puppy he’s received exemplary care at Carrick, it’s always easy to get an appointment and the vets/nurses are always very thorough. The Healthy Pet Plan is good value for money and having discovered he’s a rather accident prone spaniel, it’s very reassuring to know e have such a good vets.

I love the service me and my dog Henry gets from vet Izzy. I feel like she is kind, patient and thorough, taking her time to understand my concerns for my dog. She really listens, is not judgemental and explains things simply, giving options. I know my Henry is in the very best hands when he comes to visit and I am so thankful for her 🙏

We take Our little Chihuahua here and the service is second to none. Martini needed some of his teeth removing, he was quickly booked in to have the operation and I can't praise the staff enough for how kind and gentle they treated my little Prince. He's now a lot happier and we attend for regular checkups which are free with the insurance that the vets provide. Parking is provided and is free of charge, which is a bonus as the vets is located within a busy town centre where there is only paid for parking.
