A huge shout‑out to Fabi, whose exceptional care and professionalism make every visit feel effortless. The whole team at Watkins & Tasker consistently delivers outstanding service — not just to me as a customer, but in the genuine respect, kindness, and patience they show toward my mischievous little feline. Their compassion is unmatched, their standards are high, and their dedication is obvious in every interaction. We simply wouldn’t go anywhere else.

**UPDATE 27 Mar 26 Visited for Dotty's free 6-month check. Saw Gabby. Excellent! Found a bit of inflammation in her legs (she will soon be 8yo) and had very useful advice for this plus on cleaning her teeth. Returned a couple of days later to collect her Corsotic. Lovely reception team. Very happy we changed to "The only independent vet practice in Portishead" ..... I switched from the "other" practice in Portishead to Watkins because I became unhappy with various things (not the vets as they were always fantastic). I visited for the first time today and was very pleased indeed. I had made an appointment for boosters for my dog but I had accidentally been booked into the Nailsea branch instead of Portishead. The receptionist, who was lovely, apologised then spoke to a vet and they saw me there and then. Mike was excellent: thorough and professional. My dog is a little madam but thankfully she seemed to take a liking to Mike. I was pleasantly surprised when he handed me a voucher for a free check-up in 6 months' time.

I’ve recently moved my cats over to Watkins and Tasker, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience so far. One of my cats is diabetic, so finding a vet with strong knowledge and confidence in managing feline diabetes was incredibly important to me. The vet was exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, answering all of my questions with patience and genuine care. Together, we’ve created a thoughtful, practical plan to keep my cat both happy and healthy, and I feel completely supported moving forward. It’s such a relief to know that if we ever need additional guidance or assistance, help will be readily available. I’m feeling optimistic and reassured about the ongoing relationship with Watkins and Tasker, and I’m very glad we made the switch.

Taking 3 cats at once is always a challenge and stressful, but all staff are so helpful and caring that it does make you feel more at ease.

This is a very long overdue review of hydrovet, which l have to make as they are absolutely fantastic. My dog Coco visited her regular vet with a suspected injury to her CCL. Following some pain meds we got referred and the lovely Viv did her first consultation with Coco (who was suitably tricky) which included her gait analysis. She then started her hydro and the improvement from day 1 was amazing, and I even think Coco enjoyed it. She had 2 sessions a week for a few months and in that time has gone from very limited exercise and her buggy to having a great summer at the beach, in the pool, and in the woods. Cannot recommend hydro enough and Viv and the team I cannot fault and would always recommend. Without them I do think we'd have been looking at surgery. Looking forward to her ongoing fitness sessions to keep those muscles strong

Very compassionate. Every staff member will do all they can to help. For the most part it's never nice to visit the vets, but this place makes it feel a little easier for you and your fur baby.

Our pup had treatment and we were very happy with the care. It involved a small operation and they gave us photo updates (pupdates!) on WhatsApp before and after surgery, which massively reassured us
