A big thank you to all at Wight Vets for my recent need of you. Customer service on the phone and by mail has been superb. The two lovely ladies who visited where more than professional and sympathetic. I would recommend your services to anyone. Here is a snap of Riva in happier days, she had over 18 year's of them. Thank you again.

We have used this vet for a few years now, but never again, because he did not do our new dogs rabies jab and another vet did because this one was to busy at the time, so when we went with our 4 dogs for their animal health certificate he refused on our one that he did not do the rabies shot on the so called basis that it would be shown on a audit so we almost missed our ferry because of it. If he needs to do an audit try doing a safety audit where when leaving his premises you almost walk into traffic because the pavement is so narrow. ( Our MAIN complaint is we gave Wight Vets ALL the documents related to obtain our 4 dogs Health Certs DAYS in advance of the appointment, they could have informed us they weren't willing to do one of them & why in advance, but waited until the time of the appointment, which left us with mere hours to resolve before travelling abroad, where we could have lost £1000 on missed ferries & pet friendly cabins & space for a car & a motorhome & waited weeks until other pet friendly cabins etc became available...YET within HOURS of posting this review they were able to contact us to ask us to remove it!!! What a shame they're not as fast as that at contacting you via email if there's an issue with documentation you send them in advance, as it just compounded a lot of unnecessary stress which means our dogs suffer as a result as they absorb & sense it when you're stressed...Therefore this review is now only one star as he's just proved he's more interested in being a Job's Worth than what's right for an animals well being) Thanks to Island Vet Care they managed our dogs Animal Health Certificates and we shall use them in the future for ALL OUR DOGS NEEDS and wont be using Wight Vets ever again.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review so quickly, but this veterinary surgery is amazing. My mum has an 11-year-old Labrador x Alsatian. We first noticed a growth near her back end two years ago. We took a photo and showed it to another vet (not these), who told us there was no point bringing her in. He said there was nothing he could do, and that she was too old for surgery. So we were left in limbo. Recently, she went downhill fast, crying through the night, clearly uncomfortable. I honestly thought we were at the end of her life and didn’t want her suffering. I rang one vet who was charging three times the call-out fee Wight Vets quoted. Then I rang another, but they had no sympathy at all. (My mum had a traumatic experience with a previous vet years ago, which made this even harder.) They just didn’t understand. These were the third vets I called—and from the very first phone call, both receptionists I spoke to were absolutely lovely. They came out straight away, and after seeing her, they said she was actually in decent shape for her age and that the growth could be removed. She was in surgery the next morning and back home by 3pm. Every single woman in that surgery was incredible. They didn’t just care for my mum’s dog, they cared for my mum’s emotions, too. She’s now home recovering, comfortable, and has a whole new lease on life. Next year she’ll be travelling around the UK with me in my van, getting lots of new sniffs! I honestly can’t thank you all enough. You can feel how much they care about the animals. Thank you again. 💛

Thanks for such a caring and great service. I have no hesitation in recommending their team. They look after both our dogs and have looked after two others that we had.
