Extremely Disappointing Service Emergency I called three times to book an emergency appointment and never got an answer. Feeling worried about my pet, I decided to walk in, only to be met with a rude receptionist. She immediately told me I’d be charged £100 for just a consultation because I didn’t make an appointment despite the fact that I had tried calling multiple times. When I explained this, she did apologize, but it felt insincere, and there was no real empathy or understanding. It’s clear this place cares more about money than the well-being of animals. If you love your pet, I would recommend avoiding this unprofessional, uncaring practice.

Pets Are Just £ Signs Here A 15‑minute consultation at YourVets costs £58.50, compared to £40 for a 30‑minute consultation at an independently owned veterinary practice. With the Healthy Pet Club requiring all discounts to be repaid in full if you end the 12‑month contract early, it becomes clear that the CVS‑owned YourVets operates primarily as a business focused on revenue rather than as a veterinary practice. This is further highlighted by charging £3 for a Royal Canin ‘Gastrointestinal’ cat food pouch that costs £1.60 at JustForPets, and adding items like £3.58 for cat litter onto a £2,000 veterinary bill.

My usual vets use this practice for their out of hours care and I have had to use them twice for emergencies both late at night on a weekend and both cases were dealt with quickly, professionally and at a good price. On both occasions the staff have been excellent and when the one visit required euthanasia it was done in a very caring and sympathetic manner and we were never rushed.

I will always be grateful to the vet and nurse who cared for my beloved dog, From the moment we arrived, they treated both him and me with such kindness, patience, and compassion. They stayed with me through one of the hardest moments of my life and made sure he was comfortable, calm, and surrounded by love. What meant even more was the care they showed after. Receiving a sympathy card with a lock of my babies hair, his footprints, and forget-me-not seeds was incredibly touching. It showed a level of thoughtfulness and humanity that goes far beyond clinical care. Losing him at just three years old has been heartbreaking, but I will always remember how gently and respectfully they helped him pass. I couldn’t have asked for more compassionate people during such a painful goodbye. Thank you for honoring him and for supporting me when I needed it most.

We have been taking our cats here for a good few years, 3 are sadly no longer with us but our 2 kittens now go here and every single vet we have seen has been an absolute delight and so caring and compassionate, we have been fitted in as an emergency more than once for which we are truly grateful. Thank you all so very much

I used YourVets Smethwick in an emergency as the out of hours practice for my regular vets. My moody Jack Russell had a stick/tree root stuck in the roof of her mouth, wedged between 2 molars. It happened Saturday teatime and I’d tried to get it out myself or see if she could get it herself with her front feet but we had no luck. I rang yoyrvets first thing Sunday morning and I was booked in for 9am giving over an hour to try and catch my now very upset dog and contain her. She’s a difficult doggies into survival mode when in pain. I managed to get her in a cage and rushed to vets who were helpful and understanding of her needs. She was unhandleable by now and had to be sedated through the bars of the cage few times before she could even be handled. I was talked through everything and my preferences for her were listened to. The root was eventually removed and Tallulah was very relieved but also high on many drugs used to help her. Excellent service for a very difficult dog who in her 10 years had only been to the vets for vaccinations which is also an ordeal. Thank you sooooo much xxxx

I took my 1 year old lab for a checkup due to her breathing. She’s an extremely nervous dog and always has been, she’s currently in training. I can’t thank the staff enough for being so patient with us. Our first visit, we couldn’t even get near the vet without my pup being terrified, after speaking further with the staff, we figured out a way to have the consultation. Such amazing and sweet staff and I really appreciate how much they helped us. We’ve been with many vets, yet this is by far the best. Most vets wouldn’t have wanted to see us again. The only way we got a happy tail wag was when my pup noticed the teddies they had on display, I can confirm their teddies are worth buying too! They are super helpful, if you also have a nervous pup, I called up to explain and spoke to them in advance. I definitely recommend! (As you’ll see in the photo, she was extremely happy with her teddy)
