The practice is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm and Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12pm, with closures on Sundays and bank holidays. Outside of normal working hours, emergency cover is available through dedicated services for both small animal and equine patients.

Fantastic vets and I’ve used a few. Professional and compassionate, all the staff are so lovely and helpful. I really can’t recommend them enough and the pricing is very reasonable. Don’t hesitate to use them and I always get quick appointments. I appreciate everything they have done with my older dogs and one of which had to be PTS and now my puppy Rio. I trust this vet immensely, thank you.

There is a special diamond 💎 at Avondale Vets in Strathaven — a real one! Her name is Miss Lilly Diamond, and she is one of the dedicated vets at the practice. Today, I want to sincerely thank her for the compassion and care she showed when helping my beloved friend Judy my labrador and companion find peace. Her kindness made a difficult moment as gentle and respectful as possible. Thank you x

Been using this practice for years and have always had good service, though our dog's (and previously cats) have generally been quite healthy so we haven't had much experience of anything very complicated. However our luck ran out recently and one dog developed a serious issue which was dealt with sympathetically and very professionally by both vets involved. Thanks to them he appears to be making a full recovery, for which we are very grateful.

Fantastic. Everyone at Avondale Vets has been great. Communication is good when you need to get in touch. They’ve been very understanding when I’ve had to cancel or move an appointment because my cat is very nervous and unwilling to get in his carrier. The online booking is so easy and simple to use. They are all professional and friendly in the practice, always take care with the pets. Great health plan too. Recommend!
