Hi, I just wanted to let you know my experience with Vets for Pets Bangor. 2025 was a very sad year for our family as two of our four beautiful tabbie cats become very ill. Poppy in February and Robbie in November both of our cats had to be put to sleep. Although it was absolutely devastating for us we 100% know it was the correct decision to make. The Veterinary team were absolutely amazing. We cannot fault the professionalism of each and every member of the team, they explained each step of the Investigations the cost implications and the possible outcome. Unfortunately for us it ment that we had to say goodbye. We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to the main team members who helped us. Veterinary Charlie, Veterinary Sarah and Veterinary Nurse Mish. You made two of the saddest days bearable. Thank you.

The staff at Vets for Pets in Bangor are truly dedicated to their work in going above and beyond to provide awesome care to our chosen companions. Owning a pet comes with costs that should be researched and prepared for. I make sure that my pets are insured and the Vets for Pets staff give professional and solid advice with various options (if available) every time my pets visit them for care. Thank you very much as always to the magnificent Vets for Pets Bangor Veterinary Team! 👍😃👏

Took our 13 yr old golden retriever, Merlin, to Vets for Pets in Bangor after he had diarrhoea for some days. Merlin was diagnosed with a swollen liver and it was recommended he be put down as liver could rupture within 24 hours. We returned next morning to be told Merlin could be scanned to provide a further diagnosis. This took the entire day and I was charged £1072 but no diagnosis was given and no condition of the internal organs was provided despite asking for copies of the scans. Vet said they would be emailed to us but almost 2 weeks later they have still not arrived. Later that evening Merlin recovered - probably due to the medication. On returning to the vets at a later date to complain about the mis-diagnosis and consequential emotional trauma it caused, the Practice Manager only insisted I pay full bill as I had signed a consent form. Suffice to say we have now changed vets and would not recommend Vets for Pets in Bangor to anyone.

All of the staff here are amazing! My 1 year old jack Russell (Indie) had developed a lump in her throat so I took her to see the vet who then arranged for her to have a scan to determine the cause. I had to take her back this morning to be sedated and examined. Indie gets very nervous at the vets which they recognised straight away and prescribed some anti-anxiety medication to give her before taking her to her appointment which helped massively. I had never left her anywhere before and I was super nervous and upset but all of the staff were so supporive and understanding! They explained exactly what would happen and went through everything with me in detail which me feel much more comfortable and at ease. They kept me informed throughout the day and Indie was very well looked after and had lots of attention and cuddles. I honestly can't thank all of the staff at vets for pets enough and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic team. Since this new team of vets and nurses arrived my terrier is so much more relaxed. They have crouched on the floor for my nervous 14 year old Jack Russell to administer injections instead of automatically putting him up on the table, this is unheard of elsewhere. Since they have handled him so well he has now got used to the environment and didn’t react to being put on the table. They are also friendly, patient and kind towards the owner. Such a good atmosphere in Bangor Vets for Pets. The reception staff are friendly too.

Went Monday to let my boy go over to 🌈 Bridge, as it was his time 😪 From the moment I telephoned to make the appointment, I was crying and the receptionist was very caring and told me to take my time, my son had to take over. We arrived and straight away, we were taken to a private room, as I was still upset. Charlie (vet) came in. She had met Sonny before and assured us we were making the right decision, before he deteriorated further. Charlie explained exactly what was going to happen, even though we had been through it less than 12 months before, with Daisy. We were given all the time we wanted, not rushed at all, and the process for Sonny was very dignified and caring. I can't thank 'Vets4pets' enough, and Holywell were equally caring and supportive, in picking Sonny up and bringing him home the very next day...thank you all 😊 Sonny 3rd December 2010 - 9th October 2023
