Very happy that I was able to get an urgent appointment for my cat who was in a lot of pain, receptionist has a lovely caring attitude and was very knowledgable. My cats pain subsided very quickly after returning home and the medication is working well thanks to Jacob’s quick diagnosis that her pain was due to a dental issue.

We have been going to Barrow Hill for roughly 8 years. Only on one occasion, they didn’t have an appointment but booked us into Ashford to be seen instead. Every time we went, my lovely cat Nishka always had a thorough check up. I was always given plenty of information to make informed decisions and move forward with my cat’s health and wellbeing. Sadly, last week we had to put Nishka to sleep. Alison (the vet) was unbelievably kind and explained everything before hand. She made the whole experience calm and peaceful for my cat and me. Thank you for your kindness and compassion

Thank you to Ali, Graham and all the team at Barrow Hill for everything you did for my dear boy during the final two years of his life. Despite his many ailments, you helped him maintain a good quality of life with your expert care and attention. Thank you truly.

I turned up with my nearly 12 year old Labrador. Waited 20 minutes or so to then be informed they don’t actually have the medication needed for him! I gave 2 stars (and not 1 star) because they squeezed him in at another branch but my whole experience took about an hour and a half of driving and waiting rather than 20/30 minutes. I’ve been with them for about 11 years and I do wonder why as “loyal customers” mean nothing to them. Reception staff in New Romney were very helpful, but in Hythe they are never very welcoming of friendly, and she even kept me “hostage” until she made multiple phone calls to check if what I was saying about invoicing Guide Dogs was “true”. Made me feel like a liar. The Vet at Hythe was very nice as always. Not a nice experience (yet again).
