I had to rush my cat into CVC without an appointment because she obviously needed emergency treatment. The centre is open 24 hours and 10 mins away from where I live, which was very lucky for me. I could park outside easily, it was calm and quiet inside, a vet nurse rushed out to help me with my cat and she was seen immediately, which saved her life as she had a lung collapse. I have had many bad experiences at other vets when my cats needed emergency treatment - from waiting to be seen while the vet played with puppies and didn't spot the severity, to having to drive across Cardiff in rush hour to an emergency centre, which was precious time lost. The pricing was transparent and CVS is an independent vets, which is also great news. The receptionist staff were very friendly and helpful and I was able to call any time for advice, which was such a help. I'm very grateful to Lorenzo and CVS for saving my cat's life 👏

I cannot thank the team at Cardiff Veterinary Centre enough for their exceptional care and compassion during one of the hardest nights of my life. My 13-year-old dog, who has heart failure, took a turn for the worse during the night. Even though he wasn't a registered patient there, they took the time to advise me on what to look for and reassured me that I could bring him in at any time. When I eventually brought him in a few hours later, the receptionist and the vet were incredibly kind, professional, and respectful. Though we sadly had to say goodbye to him, they made a devastating situation as easy as it could possibly be with their gentle words and support. They handled all the cremation arrangements perfectly; I received a call to collect his ashes within just a week. The ashes were beautifully presented in a lovely urn they had chosen for me at my request including his fur and paw prints. On top of that, they were incredibly efficient, responding to my insurance company within just a couple of days. To top off their amazing service, I even received a handwritten sympathy card in the post. I am so grateful to the whole staff for their empathy and efficiency. I can’t recommend them highly enough. All staff are nice and helpful. They do seem to care about your pet. I would recommend insurance as they don't do payment plans so any hefty bills would the full cost.

What a fabulous practice. We had to attend with my son’s dogs out of hours and they couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Particular mention for Hannah who really went above and beyond to support us. Thank you.

I have been registered at this vet for some time now and have always felt my pets were looked after and that I was listened to by the staff here. I had to unfortunately take both my cats here for emergency consultations in quick succession recently and the care my cats received was exceptional. Staff members are welcoming, non-judgmental and very thorough in their examinations and treatment. You can really see the care the staff have for the animals they treat which is so lovely to see. Pricing is affordable and reasonable. Booking system is very easy and flexible. I absolutely recommend this practice for those seeking a reliable, accessible and caring service.

Absolutely amazing. We took our kitten, Ripley, for her spay and they were brilliant. Every single person there from reception staff to the vets and nurses were so kind and helpful, they treated her so well and seemed to really genuinely care about her and her recovery. I’m so glad we picked this vet even though it’s a little further away for us. We will always come back here 🩷
