I had such a great experience with Rachel at Cardiff Bay Vets. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and kind from start to finish. Rachel took the time to explain everything clearly, made my pet feel completely at ease, and showed such genuine care and compassion. It’s reassuring to know my pet is in such capable and caring hands. Thank you, Rachel, for going above and beyond — you’re a credit to the practice! The receptionists are always friendly and professional and always fit us in for an appointment knowing my dogs background. Thanks again.

My 17 week old puppy, Jett, has been very well looked after at every visit. They explained what I needed to do to report the breeder as Jett was vaccinated or microchipped when he came home. The vet nurses, vets and reception staff have been wonderful with Jett, and he loves visiting the vets. Thankfully my older dog, Shadow hasn't needed to go to the vet yet but I'm sure when he does he will also get the 5* treatment. Thankyou very much!

Me and my sister found an injured baby seagull with a very clear snapped wing. we took it to this vets and the vet said the seagull wasn’t injured and to put it back where we found it. after speaking to a few bird sanctuary pages we decided to get a second opinion who told us the wing was very clearly snapped and the vet who checked it out here was clearly being lazy. the seagull had to be put down but because of the lazy vet it had to suffer another day this place is disgraceful and uncaring.

My cat has been losing weight so I booked an appointment last Friday. After agreeing to a blood test for close on to £300 I was left in the waiting area for approx 40 minutes. The vet then came out and asked whether I’d agree to giving a sedative. I agreed and approximately an hour later got my cat back, shaved on both sides of the neck with a number of puncture marks, severely bruised and I was advised to rub some arnica cream into the area. On getting him home the cat was violently sick and unwell for 3 or 4 days and a week later really not himself. I rang this morning to be told that the vet had called me in the week and left a message on the answerphone (nothing on it), she would call me after 1.15pm. By 2pm no call so I went back. The tests showed no problem but on the sheet supplied we’re done and returned by Monday. I would never let this vet near my cat again! I feel so guilty for putting him through the hell that he has had, and would advise think very hard before using this practice.

Lovely vets, made my little girl feel so comfortable she gets excited to go now! Update: I got my dog spayed here, and I cannot thank the lovely lady who discharged her enough. When dropping her off in the morning, she explained everything I needed to know. When I picked her up she went through everything, answered all the questions I had, and didn’t make me feel silly for being emotional. My little dog is my whole world, and after some previous dogs of mine had bad experiences with the vets they went to I was very nervous about this process. The staff here are wonderful, and I wouldn’t dream of taking her anywhere else. Thank you all for looking after my little Gwenllian ♥️
