Took my dog to this emergency veterinary service which lead to euthanasia , as my usual practice is not open 24 hours and this was arranged through them. Sadly, the experience was much more distressing than it needed to be. The vet was rude and made comments about not bringing him in sooner, despite the fact that I had been following the advice given by my own vet beforehand. In such a difficult situation, I did not expect to be spoken to in a judgemental way. After my dog was euthanised, I was told bluntly that his body would be put in a freezer. While I understand this may be part of the process, the way it was communicated felt insensitive and lacked compassion at an incredibly painful time. I ended up paying privately during his cremation to have a paw print and a cut of his fur as this was not offered either - again I understand this was an emergency appointment however a clipping of his fur would have taken seconds. I hope the practice can reflect on how they speak to grieving owners.

We called CVH this afternoon, as our vet practice was closed for the weekend and we required an urgent appt, following our cat being in a cat fight. We were seen within an hour of calling by an OOH vet, who took great care of Fred. Marialena was friendly, professional and took the time to explain what she was administering and what his home treatment plan would be. Vet skills 10/10 Humour 10/10 Hairdressing skills 0/10 (just kidding, Fred is rocking his shaved back 😂) Would also like to take this time to say thank you to the receptionist.

My first visit to the nurse for our new puppy's check up. Becky the nurse was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We were given plenty of time to ask questions in an unhurried environment. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Becky. The veterinary hospital is modern and appears to be well equipped. There is a large customer waiting area with segregated areas for both dogs and cats. Customer parking is available directly outside and suitable for the disabled. My second visit was just as pleasant with the vet be helpful and caring. The consultation was relaxed and unhurried. Excellent, thank you.
