Excellent practice. We had an emergency right before bank holiday. Friendly receptionists who helped book us in right away even whilst I was in tears on the phone. Upon arrival everyone was expecting us and we were seen very quickly. The vet Andy was highly experienced and helped our poor cat quickly. My cat who is frightened of all strangers took to him so well. After a few injections and medication later. We were on our way. I cried so much in the vet room and I was not made to feel silly. Just empathy and grace shown towards my pet and me. Upon leaving again dealt with the two amazing receptionists. They are so friendly, warm and put any patients and their families at ease. Highly recommend to all especially as new pet owners. Our cat had his kitten vaccinations here too and the same great experience.

We adopted Blue, the GSD from the Halfway House pub, when his owners died. We had him for 18 wonderful months before he suddenly just died on the 12 Feb. Chess vets had known Blue all his life and were there for him at the end when we needed help. Friendly, helpful and genuine people. Thank you all. Maxine and family..x

Used the vets during the lifetime if my chocolate lab (Ruby), always finding them friendly and professional. She had some knee operations when she was younger, which they arranged with a local surgeon, but thankfully not too many visits until recently as she came towards end of life. Such a difficult time with a much loved pet. At this point I found the Vet and receptionist were exceptional in treating the dog and us with care and consideration.

Always a warm and friendly greeting for all of the staff, who make time to say hello to our furbabies. The environment is welcoming, clean and comfortable. The vets explain procedures and diagnosis in plain English, for those of use that didn’t spend 6 years studying animals and treatments. When had the unfortunate passing of animals we were comforted but more importantly they were managed in the most dignified way.

Chess Vets have been looking after our pets for over five years now, they are so friendly, helpful and caring. I can honestly say they are the best Vets we have been with. Pickle thinks so too!

Absolutely dreadful vets. Really rude and officious reception staff, in my experience they don’t care about animals, they put my lovely friendly docile golden retriever in this cage!
