Dick White Referrals

When our vet discovered a mass in our baby Ragdoll girl Sky's colon, we were given a choice of where we would like her to be referred. We didn't hesitate to choose DWR, as we had heard many positive things about them, and our dog Louis had previously undergone elbow surgery there in 2022. We knew Sky would be given the best possible care and every chance of a positive outcome, and we were not disappointed. Throughout the entire process, the team kept us fully informed about what was happening and what to expect. After two years of uncertainty, we finally have a diagnosis, and we are incredibly grateful for the expertise, professionalism, and compassion shown by everyone at DWR. Our only wish is that we had been referred there sooner. Sky is now resting at home and will go back in 3 weeks time for her check up

Our cat Mia was admitted as an emergency on a Friday evening. From the minute we walked through the door the care was excellent. The reception staff greeted us and explained that Mia would be taken straight from us and be admitted. The reception staff were thoughtful and understanding and explained everything clearly. Once we went through to see the vet he talked us through her treatment in a language we understood. We then got a chance to see her before we left. The next few days we would receive regular updates on her condition and also the cost. The staff were brilliant explained everything and I knew she was getting treated well. Not once did I feel like they were just doing tests for the money as on several occasions they recommend against tests as it was not best for Mia. Thank you for everything and I would definitely recommend your services 😊

Our 2 year old cat Joey was referred here as an emergency and was triaged as soon as we entered the building. We were kept posted throughout Joeys 3 day stay in the ICU and were able to call them to check in on him at any time 24/7. The nursing team in the ICU said that he was fussed over constantly throughout his stay and had lots of cuddles, which we appreciated so much. Unfortunately, Joey was diagnosed with heart failure, but the cardiologists and nursing team were so incredibly lovely and helpful, explaining everything we needed to know about the disease, which apps to get to track his breathing, and to call them for any advice if we needed it. We really can’t fault the treatment that Joey has had and there is no doubt that without their expertise and intervention, Joey wouldn’t be home with us right now. Long road ahead, however we feel so reassured and lucky that DWR are there if we need them.

On Friday 5th Dec our dog brockster was referred to dwr fro our vets where he was having treatment for a eye ucler which became a concern.we were contacted by telephone and emails and communications were excellent. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and the lady at reception was very helpful and understanding. Everything was explained clearly from paperwork to admin ect.we were told to wait in the waiting area and help our selves to tea&coffee and the consultant would come out and see us.lorraine came out and assisted us to the consulting room.lirraine asked various questions regarding brockster eye.lorraine explained everything to what she was going to do and plan of action to save his eye.brockster was kept in and lorraine would update us Saturday which she did not only by phone but also pictures of thee eye how it looked Friday to how it was Saturday. I can’t rate this referral centre high enough! The whole team were excellent at guiding us through a very scary time. To the whole neurology team thank you so much for saving our boy and being so kind and understanding along the way. Here he is at home recovering well.

My pet dog was admitted as an emergency from my vet. As soon as we arrived the care he received was outstanding. They knew they had to act quickly to save him and he was with Dick White for 2 weeks in intensive care. We received daily calls to update us and they arranged for us to visit our dog daily. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Sam who looked after him went above and beyond in our eyes especially on our visits. Words will never express our gratitude to the whole team from Reception staff all the way up to the top. We thank you so much ❤️ xx
