Reception staff were so friendly and great at giving advice about my pup's tummy troubles. The vet was very patient with my wriggly pup when it came to examination and administering vaccinations. Always a great experience and would def recommend this caring practice

Always a positive experience at Field's Vets. Ed saw SallyAnn today who gave him a very thorough check over. She didn't stop stroking him and reassuring him throughout the examination. Field's look after the pets and their owners (just like their mantra says).

Extortion at its finest. I’ve outlined the pros and cons of this vets below: Pros: *Professional reception staff *Fast blood work *Responsive email follow up *Friendly atmosphere *Klarna payment plans offered for treatment over a certain amount. Cons: *Prices are double the price of many other practices (£45 for written prescription vs £15 in my new vets. £81 for a consultation vs £54 in my new vet). *Every appointment you see someone new (unless you specifically request the same person). *All the vets work part time, and do not properly get to know your pet. *Cookie cutter advice, instead of highly personalized treatment strategies. *Profits take the lead. Instead of reading the notes, and researching appropriately to give an educated diagnosis pathway, they will throw all the options at you and all are extortionate. This goes for treatments too. I was quoted £700 for an X-ray. My new vet did an X-ray today under sedation (same as previous quote for £499 and this included pre-op bloods and treatment too which wouldn’t have been included with fields). No disrespect to the staff. I just think you need to rethink your prices to make it competitive, compassionate and fair.

Louie (Llewelyn) and I had a great experience when we came for his six monthly check up. He was made very welcome by the nurse (I apologise but I don’t know her name!). She examined him very thoroughly and gently, discussed his diet, weight, routines and we left confident that he is in good shape (maybe with a little slimming!) and had had a thorough MOT. Thank you David Turner

Fields vets show they care about your companion animals' wellbeing. Staff are helpful and make an effort to find ways to get animals back on their feet. Pet Health Club is great value for money.

The visit was great. The clinician answered all my questions regarding dental treatment in full and was very friendly. I felt that my cat was well taken care of. The reception staff were lovely as well 😊

Awful experience at this vets. I’m a new dog owner with an 8-week-old Rottweiler who went in for his first check-up — and we both left traumatised. The vet who came to collect us from reception (apparently the Clinical Director) seemed disinterested from the start. The exam table was covered in dog hair, which made me hesitant to put my unvaccinated puppy on it. The appointment felt like a tick-box exercise with little engagement or care. During the examination, the vet squeezed my puppy’s head so hard he yelped loudly. I was then told I “needed to get on top of this” because he’s a Rottweiler and “needs socialising.” My pup is well socialised — he was calm and friendly in reception — so this was not about behaviour but about rough handling. The vet then gave my puppy a random treat that had been left on the table, even admitting he didn’t know where it came from. We were advised to book him in for dew claw removal under general anaesthetic — at just 8 weeks old! To make matters worse, we were sent away with the wrong worming tablets because the vet didn’t listen when I explained we already had his 12-week dose. There was zero compassion, no real communication, and I left feeling completely inadequate as a new dog owner. I had many questions but didn’t feel comfortable asking them. We’ve since moved to another vet, and my puppy is thriving. I would absolutely not recommend this clinic if you want your dog treated gently and respectfully, or if you expect even basic empathy from your vet.

Avoid this Vets at all costs. My sister, a first time dog owner, took her 9 week old puppy here for his first appointment and both were left traumatised by their first experiences. Her pup was forcefully gripped by his head and chin whilst he screamed in distress. The table was dirty with dog hairs all over it. There was a left over “treat” from another dog that the vet admitted even he didn’t know where it had come from and what it was, whilst her pup ate it. She was berated for not letting her pup get used to other people when he had met several new people in his first week home and been to 5 new places. The treatment left her feeling completely inadequate and left her pup scared and anxious. What’s more, she even left having been given the wrong worming tablet! Will be spreading the word to all pet owners, do not ever take your beloved pets to this Vets!! If I could leave 0 stars I would.
