Sadly had to take our lovely elderly dog to the practice on Saturday. Unfortunately after much discussion he had to be put to sleep. The vet who dealt with us, Gabrielle I think her name was was absolutely brilliant. She did a thorough job examining him and was very respectful as he was very stressed and in pain. She explained everything well, didn't rush us gave us as much time as we wanted to say goodbye to him. We were able to stay with him throughout the process which she carried out with the up most respect for him and us. Although we are obviously heartbroken, the treatment we received Saturday made everything easier and calmer. We have been with Harbour vets normally using the Southsea branch for many years and the service we have always received has been excellent. We will certainly choose them again later down the line. Thank you all so much.

I cannot thank Bea and her colleagues at Harbour Vets enough for their compassion and thoughtfulness whilst having to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Max . Bea talked us through what would happen and left us alone just before and after to say our goodbyes. We were not rushed and when we collected him the next morning , they had taken paw prints and written a beautiful personalised condolence card to give to us . They made a heartbreaking time a whole lot easier to cope with.

Just wanted to take the time to say thanks to Abigail, the veterinary nurse. We brought our dog for her healthy pet check up, and she was fantastic. She recommended products that were affordable, as well as suggest the best places to get the best prices. She was super friendly, helpful and patient. Also want to say thanks to the receptionists, who greet you with a smile and help sort any issues. We have been customers of Harbour Vets for years and had started to feel a little underwhelmed with the service, but since the new location and new staff we are really pleased ! Thank you!

Based off my appointment tonight with the vet nurse Olivia (I believe) she was amazing! My dog Lola loved her! You could tell she felt much happier which is such a relief as a owner because you know vets can make your pets anxious to. It felt like she loved our dog just as much and thats important when it comes to the care of any of my animals. Thank you so much and thank you for caring like you did! Actual superstar

We contacted Harbour Veterinary Hospital after our cat injured his tail outdoors and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful for the care we received. The receptionist on the phone was very kind, explained everything well and we were called in straight away. We were seen by Dr Cosmin, who was exceptionally kind, friendly and reassuring. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions and showed great knowledge and compassion throughout the visit. As we were seen after hours on a weekend, it made a stressful situation much easier to manage. Especially that we have travelled from very far. The charges were very reasonable and fair, considering the out of hours care. A truly caring and professional veterinary practice. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Harbour Veterinary Hospital and Dr Cosmin. Regards Agata

Despite not being a client,as visiting family for Christmas, I was seen straight away as an emergency on xmas eve morning. I knew my elderly boy needed to be put to sleep and the vet nurse and Vet were so understanding and compassionate my lovely old boy was let go nestled in my arms being told how much he was loved. I was given as much time as I needed with him to say goodbye. I arranged his cremation with them via an external company. I was not pushed to pay the bill there and then, although unlike other companies who I believe make you pay before treatment etc. I can only say what was one of the worst times of my life was made easier due to the lovely caring staff. I know if I lived in Portsmouth again this would be my vets of choice. Marcel I will miss you 04/09/12-24/12/25 forever my bestest boy.
