I called Hawthorn Vets in Hassocks to register my dog after he developed a problem with his front paw. The registration process was quick and easy, and the nurse kindly attended to him even without an appointment. She identified the issue, began treatment right away, and offered advice on how I could continue care at home, adding that if the paw didn’t improve, I should bring him back and they’d fit us in with the vet. I met two members of staff, both of whom were very kind and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to take my dog back or recommend them to other pet owners—they’re a great addition to the local community.

Everyone was so friendly yet professional and wonderful with our dog, Bella. The vet did a thorough examination and explained tests and treatments with us - even Bella seemed to enjoy her trip!!

My first visit to this new facility here in my local town of Hassocks, a good walk from my village Ditchling, completed my two loyal canine companions, a 13 year old Labrador and a young spritely 11 month Cocker Spaniel, after more than 7 years of being a client with Hawthorn Vets. This close by practice, is welcome news, no more long journeys. Excellent, professional service and loving care, as always for my two dogs Alfie (13) and Hector (11 month).

I have recently changed vets and was impressed with how thorough my 1st appointment was with my 14month old dog. Time was spent with her to help her be relaxed a head of her vaccination, all my questions were answered. All the staff were very professional but had a lovely friendly attitude. Yes would recommend.

We took Zeus to the Hawthorns vets in Hassocks. He has gradually been getting more and more stressed by fireworks. On November 5th we had to pop him in our car and drive him around as he was so distressed. From the moment we walked in the door, the receptionist was lovely.putting us at ease. The vet was amazing, listened to our concerns, advised us on several medications, advised. us on any potential side effects. Also made sure he individualised it to our dog. He was realistic about not one medication treating all dogs. We came out feeling assured and understood. I would highly recommend Hawthorns. So easy to get an appointment either at Hassocks, Henfield or Partridge green.

James was wonderful and we had a great first visit. I know that not everyone is fit enough to do that, but I appreciate it when a vet goes down on the floor to the dog instead of placing the dog on the high cold surface. For an anxious dog, it makes a huge difference. I also appreciated being asked how she normally responds to a jab, and when hearing it wasn't great - walking the extra mile to make it unnoticeable for her. Well done for a very good job. The receptionist was also super lovely.
