I'd been taking my dog to another vet for 5 years, but felt that now she had an issue it wasn't being taken seriously. I chose Macqueens after such great experiences with our puppy. I am so impressed with Macqueens. They are welcoming and friendly. They listened to my concerns, took me seriously, and answered my questions. And most importantly, was super friendly with my dog and thoroughly examined her after immediately spotting her breathing issue before the examination. My dog had a CT today. Mario had an in-depth knowledge of her notes (provided by the previous vet), kept me informed all the way through. Once she woke up, a nurse called me to let me know she was ok, ask what her favourite foods are, and to let me know that my dog would get lots of fuss and attention. She is bright and perky even considering the anesthetic. I've been told multiple times how lovely she is. I can see how much care she has had whilst with them. I am very confident that they are a very safe pair of hands and my pets will get the best care.

I have switched back to Macqueens after receiving terrible care at a different local vet. I have unfortunately had to take all three of my cats in to see Harriet this year and she has been excellent with each one. The staff genuinely care and want the best and my cats respond really well to them. They are expensive, but they know their stuff and you know they’re going to do their best to help.

Really grateful to Carly who completed a CT scan on our Greyhound as part of a referral from our vet practice. Our own practice's communication was very poor - if it were not for Carly I think we would have been having an even more distressing time!

Macqueens Vets are not the cat friendly surgery as they say they are. A truly awful experience which has cost us money. We had a brilliant experience about a year ago at the vets so decided to move our two cats here. I wish we hadn't. We have harness trained one of our Maine Coon cats because he is extreemly anxious going both to the vets and being trapped in a cage and has damaged claws etc when we try so when we initially bought him in for emergency surgery a year ago they were absolutely fine with him on his harness. Since they have changed owners and have been bought by a large informal company they have changed their policy and they tried to put our very large Maine Coon cat into a tiny small pet carrier just before he was due to have surgery. It was very upsetting for my child whose cat it is. They also made him wait until the latter part of the day to give him an enema because (their words verbatim) "It makes the surgery smell" They also pre-diagnosed both of our Maine Coons cats with a heart murmur which they tried to get us to pay £350 each cat to have some tests. When we took them for the initial visit to our new vet at Chalklands they could find no sign of either cats having a murmur, nor had our vet of 7 years previously, so we feel this is a money making scam for Maqueens. The only good thing about Macqueens vets is the receptionist Kath who was very kind and friendly.

Countless admin and over charging of bill. I have used this vets for over 10 years the last few experiences have been poor to terrible. Missing medications for my dog which was very important and il payed over 200 pounds for the bill. Over billing on my last visit even though I confirmed all prices beforehand by the practice manager. They seem very sloppy or they are more money oriented. The phones lines to different departments are pointless as no ones answer them. I have spoken to practice manager but she tried to justify with the excuses until I broken down my experiences with mcqueens . I've lost all faith mcqueens vets. I feel they have lost the empathy and it's more money orientated. Admin is shocking . Poor experience especially when it's ends of life for you dog.
