I have been a client of medivet Marlowes for a long time and feel no need to take my two cats anywhere else. All of the vets and nurses are excellent, professional, kind and friendly and explain things thoroughly. It is very easy to book an appointment by phone or online. The prices are available and although I have not had to use the out of hours service for a long time I was informed by email about the price decrease.

Romeo only interested in your money, he gave my cat since a kitten a clean bill of health, only to find out 4 years later that his organs where all in his upper chest!!! my cat initially had an issue with gagging, Romeo decided it was grass trapped in nose, which it wasn’t, he went down a rabbit hole of guessing whilst spending all benefits once he realised they had missed diagnosed, he gave me a further bill of approx £2,000 to stabilise my cat over weekend at Watford surgery, once I said that was ridiculous and he was the issue, I got a call to say my healthy cat was dying!!!! I had to put my cat down due to Romeo being totally incompetent and lying to me re insurance being all used. My insurance company said that every procedure so far was a new investigation and not sure why our vet is not treating the cat properly or telling the truth to me or them.

AVOID THIS VET AT ALL TIMES. Our dog woke me up with problems with his spine and was limping very badly. We took him to the vet and he was just felt around. We then had to pay £700 upfront for absolute nothing! He was kept overnight and sent to Watford. Overnight they didn't help him a single bit. We got charge an extra 300 pound bill to pay. After we payed, our dog came out the absolute same with no support and no changes. He was still limping. They didn't even diagnose him with anything! After £1000 pounds of literally nothing, our dog didn't have any improvements. If anything he came out worse with diarrhea which they gave him overnight. Seriously these people are just straight up scammers and want just your money. How am I paying £1000 to have my dog return in a worse state than he was. These people are nothing but frauds. We weren't told anything about what's wrong with him and no diagnosis like I said. These people are purely just taking money from people. They apparently ran blood tests but we didn't receive anything. We basically payed them for our dog to sleep over. If you want to get scammed and lost a massive amount of money for absolutely nothing, go ahead with them.

I’m sadly leaving Medivet Marlowes after many wonderful years with them, purely because we’ve moved out of the area. I honestly cannot recommend this veterinary practice highly enough. They’ve always gone above and beyond for our two cats. Our first cat was neutered here around four years ago and healed perfectly. Since then, he’s had various skin conditions and other issues, and the vet team, Romeo in particular, have always been exceptionally thorough, ensuring he’s comfortable and healthy every time they've seen him. What I really appreciate about this practice is that they’re both cost-effective and cost-aware. They’re transparent about pricing, talk everything through openly, and always help you make the right decision with your pet’s wellbeing (and your finances) in mind. Some vets can make costing feel so ambiguous, but not these guys, which is wonderful. The reception team are also fantastic: always friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about animals. You can see how much they care the moment you walk into the waiting room. My mum is also with this vet, and Romeo cared for our childhood cat, Tilly, who had type 2 diabetes for over ten years. He (yes, He) lived to the age of 17, and when the time came to say goodbye, Romeo’s compassion and care, after knowing and supporting him for so long, meant the world to us. I truly can’t recommend this team enough, and I’m so sad to be leaving. Whoever we go to next has very big boots to fill!
