I rushed my cat into medivet new ferry after I noticed that he started tinkling around the kitchen and wouldn’t move. When we got to the vet she didn’t seem concerned at all said it’s stress related, gave him anti inflammatory meds and as we was leaving I asked shouldn’t we perhaps do urine test she said there’s no need and it’s not easy to collect sample from a cat anyway. She said you can try if you succeed just drop it off at the desk and will let you know. And that’s exactly what I did. After a few days I got an email saying there’s blood in his sample and suggested very in my opinion expensive cat food. After few weeks I got an email saying my details are being passed to debt collector as I didn’t pay almost £42 pounds for his urine sample!!!! As I was leaving vet I paid £160 for 10 minute visit just to be clear. Now I have to pay for imaginary dip stick urine test that I have no proof was ever done in the first place.Absolute ripoff this place.

My dog suffered a cardiac arrest during induction of anaesthesia for a routine procedure and required CPR before she could be stabilised. She was pre-medicated prior to induction with(medetomidine and methadone) Accepted veterinary guidance indicates that pre-medicated dogs of her size would normally require a significantly reduced propofol dose, typically in the region of 2–4 mg/kg, given slowly to effect, with higher doses generally associated with un-premedicated patients. The dose used for my 1.88 kg dog was (8.5mg/kg) when later calculated, was substantially above what is usually expected under these standards. With no documented proof of titration. I was not informed beforehand that a dose of this level would be used, nor of the associated risks, and therefore did not feel I had given informed consent. After the incident, the event was later described to me as “breath holding”, despite resuscitation having been required. I was not provided with a clear explanation of how the dose was determined or titrated, and the clinical records supplied were incomplete. While I understand that complications can occur, the lack of transparency, documentation, and acknowledgement following such a serious event has left me distressed and with ongoing concerns about consent, risk management, and clinical governance at the practice.

Our cat got ran over a few weeks ago and was in a bad way. We rushed him to the nearest vets Medivet Bromborough, who aren’t our actual vets, but we wanted someone to see him ASAP. He was seen to straight away, given pain relief and then transferred to New Ferry for an operation as his leg was in such a bad way it needed amputating. His leg was already infected and had we found him later, it would have been too late. The staff in both clinics are all really kind and professional and genuinely love animals. Thank you for saving Harry’s life 💙

The staff here are wonderful. Friendly receptionists, and very caring, skilled veterinary surgeons. My 2 little dogs have been coming here for many years. Dougie practically saved my little girl - during a routine check up he noticed her abdomen was a little swollen and recommended neutering her as she is prone to pyometra with not having pups. During the op he noticed the early signs of pyometra had actually started! So im so happy he noticed that. My other dog has arthritis in his hip and a few years ago became completely ataxic all of a sudden. Dougie gave him a very thorough examination - reassured me that hes probably just overdone it - he recommended shorter walkies, carrying him up and hills/stairs. And he hit the nail on the head again! My boy returned to normal within a couple of weeks. You can tell he is a real animal lover, and his intuition is spot on. My dogs have also had multiple dental procedures here and have always been very well looked after. Today's dental work was carried out by Marisa, who was very gentle and patient with my dog and put us both at ease, she took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer my questions. Thank you to all the staff for everything, I'll never go anywhere else 💗🙌🏻

Always a brilliant service, staff cannot do enough to help. I regularly need a prescription for my cat, last time I called up Ali had my prescription ready in under 20 minutes. Cannot recommend enough.
