Can't fault Medway City Vets. The staff were very friendly and the care my puppy received was exceptional. His aftercare was brilliant to the point he rested with the two lovely receptionists as he was a restless after his operation. Thank you so much for looking after Monty. Mel

This vet is absolutely useless!! My mother in laws German shepherd was brought in Friday the 25th April they told the "head vet" Nathan everything they was experiencing he done ZERO tests didn't even look at her gums just walked her around the reception and said looks like she has DML and that she will deteriorate over the next few months but isn't in pain! My mother in law questioned this because of how she had been and he said I don't know what's wrong with her maybe upset stomach and just gave her meds no further checks!!! He didn't listen at all to the owners just brushed it off! Well the next day my father in law goes to France and leaves my eldly mother in law and their dog at home thinking everything will be OK. We'll it turns out it wasn't OK! Monday evening I get a phone call crying her eyes out that she's collapsed outside the back door and please can I help. It's lucky I live close because there is no way she could of got her to the emergency vet in Maidstone on her own. The receptionist at the emergency vet took 1 look at her gums and said they look pale!! She also said she looks bloated. A receptionist had already done more than the "head vet". As soon as we went into the room the vet shaved her belly and done an ultrasound and guess what!! Her splene had ruptured, she was internally bleeding and in ALOT of pain. It was either operation or PTS, because of her age we choose PTS. All this could of been avoided and my father in law could of said goodbye to his pride and joy. Not only that it cost them over £700 for all of this! Again could of been avoided if he had listened to the owner. Its so frustrating because loosing a pet is hard enough but this vets has made it 10 times worse. I am writing this to warn other people, I actually just read another review with the same sort of thing so he clearly hasn't learnt. DO BETTER

I didn’t even call ahead — I just turned up with our little man wrapped in a towel. You took him in straight away after a quick briefing and gave him the best care possible. YOU SAVED OUR BABY BOY. It was such an emotional time, but knowing he was with your team, seeing how much you cared, and feeling the hope you gave us meant everything. We can't thank you enough for saving him. He's back to his happy, cheeky self — grabbing his Lick-e-Lix, cuddling up to us all, and still managing to annoy his fur sister too! He says, “Meow Meow, lick lick!” We say thank you. xxx

My parents saw the head vet about our dog’s stomach being very bloated, after ruling out gastric torsion he told us to keep an eye on him. They went back the next day and he felt his stomach, saying he couldn’t feel any fluid or gas etc and not to worry, making them feel like it was a waste of time going again (even though we could definitely still feel it). He also didn’t offer any scans or blood tests. £95 for very short consultations! Our dog’s condition worsened a couple of days later so they went to a different vets (as they didn’t have a vet at this clinic) and she was very concerned and surprised he didn’t investigate further, after a scan they found a cancerous tumour and our dog had to be put to sleep. We couldn’t have done anything about the tumour however this was very poor service and made the situation a lot worse for our family.

Took our much loved cat to medway city vets. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything for him and they had to put him to sleep. They were all so kind and caring at this difficult time and today we received this card from them. We are very grateful to them and would definitely recommend them
