We can’t thank the team at the Stanhope and Alston branches enough for everything they’ve done for our dog. He wasn’t even registered with them (we don’t live locally and are registered with a vet closer to home), but when we rang on Tuesday morning as he was being sick and having trouble going to the toilet, they found us an appointment within just over an hour. From the moment we arrived at the Stanhope branch, everyone acted quickly and professionally. Their knowledge and calm, reassuring manner immediately put us at ease, and we felt completely comfortable leaving our dog in their care. After assessing him, the Stanhope team arranged for us to go straight to the Alston branch for X-rays and ultrasounds. When we arrived, they were ready and waiting for us, and once again their approach was professional, reassuring, and kind. Throughout the day we received three update calls, which we greatly appreciated — it really showed how much they care. Our dog ended up needing surgery and is now doing well, thanks to the swift action of Rachel and Kathryn. I genuinely don’t think the outcome would have been the same without them. We are so thankful for everything they’ve done — we couldn’t have asked for better care.

Our whippet wasn't very well while we were on holiday in Woolsingham, she is 12 years old, lost her balance thought we were going to loose her, took her to Old Stone Vets. The vet was very calm and caring, prescribed some medication but also prepared us if the medication didn't work. Thankfully she recovered. I would recommend these vets for their genuine care and reasonable charges. Thank you.

Saw our elderly dog three times, the last time was at home to send him over the bridge. Lovely, caring vets and the hand signed card they sent us after was a beautiful touch. Recommend. RIP Bob.
