Got my dog castrated a few days ago, went in today to get his 3 day check up only to be 15 mins late as per usual and told by the vet he feared of infection internally and gave me antibiotics and more of his meds he was given after his surgery (free of charge) went to reception only for the young women to say that will be £42 and was honest and said I can’t afford that, can you put it on my account so I can pay next week when I come back in for his next appointment, she quickly hid the meds behind her and said well Olly won’t getting better we don’t do that, you go to a independent vet you get a bill after you get the treatment not before, where is the care for the animal here he is in pain and because I can’t afford it he has to wait that is animal neglect and cruelty here when it wasn’t my fault he has a infection internally. I went back a hour or so later only to be told that it was £32 not £42. Not the first time the receptionist had tried to over charge me when paying the last half of the operation quoting the final payment £172 to trying to charge me £250 when asked and she re calculated it, £172 was still the final quote unsure what is going on here if they make up the prices on the spot or not but I wouldn’t recommend this vet. Animal cruelty

Julian was excellent in his treatment of our poorly boy right to the end. On the final day he made the process so peaceful. It was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make but at least he didn’t suffer.

I had such a bad experience here. I don’t want to go into vast detail but my poor baby boy had to be put down here. The vet was extremely cold about it and couldn’t wait to shove a pamphlet in my face about cremation options. He wasn’t even cold yet. I regret coming here everyday, I wonder if he would’ve had a chance at a more professional and capable vet clinic. I will never know, but what I do know is that I would never trust bringing any living thing in here for treatment.

I had an extremely poor experience with Vets4Pets Linwood. I brought my cat in for a check-up on a sore ear, and during the appointment, they cleaned his ears very roughly. I immediately noticed that something wasn’t right and repeatedly asked if he was okay, but my concerns were brushed off. They then administered a steroid injection without explaining anything to me beforehand, and when I asked what it was, I only received vague answers. The appointment cost me just under £400. That night and the following day, my cat became seriously ill. He couldn’t open his eyes, wasn’t walking, eating, or drinking, and his pupil was misshapen and shifted to one side. He was lethargic and unresponsive, and I was extremely worried. When I called Vets4Pets Linwood, they said they could only see him in the afternoon and that I would need to pay another £150, plus medication costs. At that point, it became clear that their priority was profit, not my pet’s well-being. They charged me a huge amount to make him sick and then expected more money to make him better. I took him to a different vet, where the difference in care—and cost—was night and day. The new vet discovered that my cat had a burst eardrum, and they told me that nothing should have been put in his ears at all. Vets4Pets Linwood not only put substances in his ears, but they also sent me home with more to administer twice daily. Thankfully, my cat became ill before I could do this, or the situation could have been even worse. My cat developed Horner’s syndrome as a result of the visit to Vets4Pets Linwood. Fortunately, he’s now receiving the proper care at the new vet. To make matters worse, when I tried to cancel my plan with Vets4Pets Linwood, they demanded more money. This clinic seems entirely focused on making a profit rather than providing proper care. Please think twice before taking your pets here, as this experience has been both emotionally and financially draining.

Been with them nearly 10 years and started off pretty friendly and helpful, however in recent years the customer care and friendly vet practice has went downhill and very money driven practice with every single interaction costing you.. was going on holiday and my cat needed a 5 minute appointment to get her jag for a pre existing medical condition. However they only offered to see her via an emergency appointment of £150, with antibiotics and the 5 mins in a room I left £285 lighter. No customer care at all anymore even though I’ve waited on them being late to take me in after my appointed time multiple times over the years they lacked any care. Complained and got nothing other than thanks for the feedback. Moving elsewhere now as others are much cheaper and offer more care.
