My dogs love going to Palmer and Duncan vets, what more can I say! There is no crying or shaking, their tails don’t stop wagging and when it’s time to go into the treatment room they actually pull me in rather than me pulling them in. Everyone here is kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The receptionist all greet our dogs by name, and if they are not busy come and fuss them. You get to see a small rotation of vets so they get to know your pet. I cannot recommend them strongly enough because my last vets traumatised my previous dogs, so I now realise that not all vets are the same.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’re with Palmer & Duncan Vets on their pet plan and it’s always easy to get an appointment, which makes such a difference. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Our most recent visit for our dog’s annual health check and booster couldn’t have been better – the vet was extremely thorough, gave clear and useful advice, and never pressured us into buying any products. A genuinely caring and professional practice. Five stars from us.

I've now been with this practice a year having left my previous vet due to persistently poor service. All the staff at Palmer & Duncan have been fantastic every time we've used the practice. In terms of appointments - there's loads of availability and I've never been turned down for an appointment. I even called up an hour before closing once and they offered me an appointment. I've never had an appointment cancelled. Reception staff are always lovely, very professional and clearly love what they do. All the clinical staff (nurses and vets) I've met have been fantastic, thorough and take their time with my dog. I never feel rushed and they rarely run late. Overall wonderful staff! Great service. 100% recommend!

A wonderful caring team. Lovely reception staff. Highly recommended. A special mention for Laura (Vet) who supported me, helping my tiny old chihuahua Bonny through her final months Such a caring professional with exceptional empathy and understanding she helped me make Bonny's final months comfortable and happy. A big heartfelt thank you to all at Palmer Duncan. Michele Johnston x

I left a review last year but for some reason google never published it 💁♂️. I came to palmer and Duncan as I felt let down by the previous vets Rocky was having problems for months with nothing seeming to help, on our first appointment at palmer the vet prescribed rocky some medication and his symptoms started to get better I feel like he suffered for months before we came here. We brought our second dog in today for the first time and again felt very at ease and left with a plan in place of what the next steps are. This practice is amazing the vets and the reception team. by far the best vets in wakefield. Thank you for all that you do I can't recommend this place enough.
