I cannot recommend this vet surgery enough! We have been with them for a few years and they’ve always been amazing. 3 weeks ago our golden retriever was unfortunately diagnosed with a mast call tumour. They got us in very quickly to have a look at the lump and sent off a sample. The results came back within a week and they then got him in for surgery the following week! They sent off the tumour after surgery and a week later we got a call to say our boy is cancer free! 3 weeks from looking at the lump to being cancer free due to the prompt care from the surgery. All of the staff have been absolutely amazing! They care so deeply for our pets and take care of them like they would their own. They have kept us in loop so well throughout the whole experience, always been happy to answer any queries and they’ve seen him for regular wound checks since the surgery. Ben the vet is absolutely amazing and it’s because of him that our baby boy has had such a good outcome! Roberta and Becca the vet nurses have been absolutely amazing and so caring! All of the reception staff have been amazing and so helpful. All of the staff are just absolutely outstanding and I wouldn’t go to any other vet surgery now!

Rang at 9.30am for some Metacam. Wanted to see Star no were working. Told a vet would ring me back. I rang Wakefield again at 5.30pm to be told running behind was still going to get a call. Now 8pm no call. 22 years being with this practice I've done. Insurance oriented and consult money wanted. Disgraceful .

I am satisfied with the clinic's services, especially since I have problems with English. In the clinic I have access to a veterinarian with knowledge of Polish. I have received and am receiving professional help for my Hopi account, which requires long-term and expensive treatment. I would like to thank you for your help and providing professional Veterinary services for my Hopi account. Best regards, Violeta Niewiadomska 👍😊

Disgraceful Experience - Refusal of Urgent Care Due to Upfront Fee and Beliefs I am writing this review to warn other clients, especially those on low income or using the Cats Protection neutering scheme. My experience with this practice was shocking and ultimately resulted in a refusal of care for my pet. Financial Barrier: I was repeatedly blocked from booking essential neutering surgery (covered by a voucher) because the practice insisted on a non-negotiable, upfront £50+ consultation fee. When I explained I could not afford this lump sum, they refused a simple payment plan, instead pushing a much more expensive £180 annual contract, proving their priority was profit, not problem-solving. Logistical Refusal: They refused to accommodate my limited transport (one day a week) by performing the consultation and surgery on the same day, despite this being the only feasible option. Welfare Failure: This deliberate delay risked my cat's welfare, as he was experiencing escalating inter-cat aggression that required urgent surgical intervention Refusal of Service: After weeks of being unable to resolve the fee/logistical issue, the practice formally terminated the relationship and refused to provide further routine care, citing "fundamental differences in beliefs." The practice clearly prioritizes rigid, corporate administrative protocols over animal welfare and accommodation for disabled, low-income clients. They showed zero compassion for an animal in need. I strongly advise finding a more flexible and ethical vet. I am getting advice as this refuse may constutuie a breech of the equality act 2012 as my refusal was based on religious grounds. Do not waste your time.

Managed to get a short notice appointment for our poorly cat. She was seen promptly and the vet was lovely with her and explained thoroughly what the problem was and what treatment was required both immediately and going forward. Very happy with the service she received
