We wholeheartedly recommend this veterinary clinic! ❤️ Our dog Odi underwent dental surgery here, and from the very first contact we felt he was in the best possible hands. Special thanks go to Dr Aleksandra for her professionalism, clear explanation of the procedure, incredible gentleness, and genuine care for Odi. Her calm approach and dedication gave us real peace of mind during a very stressful time. We would also like to thank the entire team for their kindness, patience, and wonderful care both before and after the procedure. The atmosphere at the clinic is full of empathy and true love for animals. The surgery went smoothly, and Odi is recovering well. We are extremely grateful for such professional and compassionate care. We highly recommend this clinic to every pet owner! 🐾💚

I cannot recommend Pet Repair enough. We took our 12 year old dog there after an awful distressing experience at our usual vets. We were told by our previous vet that basically if some antibiotics didn't work then it was the end for our beloved dog. I trusted my gut instincts and refused to believe this was the case. We took her to Pet Repair after being recommended through a friend. The care and compassion we received was 2nd to none as soon as we walked through the door. The receptionist and the vets were friendly and made us feel at ease straight away. After a thorough check over it turned out to be 2 cracked teeth which had caused an absess. They removed the teeth a couple of days later and even said our dog was in brilliant health for her age. They kept us informed throughout and now we are pleased to say our precious dog has made a full recovery and back to her wonderful self. To think if I had listened to the first vet we could have been sat here without our beloved dog. Always trust your gut instincts. If you need a vet please give these guys a call because they are all amazing and we can't thank them enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts x

Pet repair vets was recommended to us when we was on the look out for a second opinion for our dobie girl. On the initial first contact I was upset and could not really string a sentence together but the receptionist was so patient, helpful and polite and helped with our needs. At Ambers first ever appointment she was loved on by every member of staff and was taken that day down to surgery. Every need she has had is being met on a daily basis by these absolute angels. The care from Dr Gabor and his staff are impeccable and I wouldn't want a better team of people helping my pets.

We cannot recommend pet repair vets enough. Dr Gabor Nemes and his team are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to ensure your pet gets the care they need. Our dog Kobe has had a really tough week and I honestly believe without the care of this amazing team Kobe would no longer be with us. Everyday they have called and checked up on Kobe and asked to see him if there were any concerns. Not only have they cared for Kobe but they also looked after two very distressed dog owners. Thank you so much So if your looking for a vets in Barnsley you need to go to pet repair events

On 21 October 2025, I brought my beautiful boy cat to PetRepair Vets after a frightening choking episode the night before. He had spent most of the morning cuddling and playing on the couch, bright, affectionate, alert, and purring — exactly as would have been visible on the waiting-room CCTV. I felt hopeful and proud and kept looking back toward reception expecting someone to comment on him. A photo that morning shows how well he was before the consultation. Despite this, the clinical notes later stated: “presented depressed, tachypnoeic, in respiratory distress.” During the consultation, the vet examined my fur baby's neck and immediately suggested euthanasia. I said: “I do not want him put down at this time. I will take him home and arrange care there.” The vet pulled him back and pressed on his neck again. Immediately my fur baby began choking, and the vet repeatedly said: “sorry, sorry, sorry.” While my boy was being treated out back, the assistant said: “It was too much for him coming here.” I told her it was because the vet had pressed on his neck, and she nodded. The vet repeated the same phrase several times that the visit had been too much. This felt rehearsed and emotionally manipulative, leaving me frightened and powerless. During oxygen therapy, I could not feel any airflow from the mask. When I asked, I was told it was on. The practice’s notes stated: “Will not tolerate face mask for oxygen therapy.” The solicitor later confirmed the machine was operational and no logs are retained. In my experience, however, he did not receive effective airflow, he wasn't resisting the mask but lying still this has left me concerned. I explicitly asked for CCTV footage of our visit. The practice said: “Our CCTV system is exclusively for the security of the premises… footage from 21st October 2025 had already been automatically deleted.” The solicitor repeated: “As stated previously, our client’s CCTV system does not cover the consultation or preparation areas… no footage from 21 October 2025 remains available.” Neither clarified whether there was CCTV in the waiting room. I have since received a photo showing a camera there, contradicting their statements. This felt evasive and misleading. I believe CCTV in consulting rooms should be mandatory for accountability. The practice wrote: “As a gesture of goodwill… we waived charges totalling £320.” ??? wow - I should be grateful then should I? After my follow-up requests for full records, oxygen logs and clarity on CCTV, the practice involved a solicitor, which felt heavy-handed and intimidating when I was merely exercising my legal right to records. Seeing my beautiful boy choke and struggle, leaving with him deceased, the repeated scripted statements, refusal to state that CCTV is in the waiting room, and contradictory statements about CCTV left me feeling devastated, powerless, and manipulated. I am reporting this practice to the regulatory body because the notes about my boy's presentation were completely inaccurate. I hope my experience encourages improvements in transparency, honesty, and accountability, and supports the introduction of mandatory CCTV in consultation rooms to protect pets and their families.
