The best vets you could ask for. No matter who you see vet, nurse, receptionist everyone is so nice and kind. My dog Ruby was very unwell and couldn’t walk so was hospitalised for 4 days, i couldn’t have asked for anything better, we had constant updates about her and were able to go and visit her with no problems at all. And all round 5star practice and couldn’t recommend them more!! Thank you!

Very good vets, all staff are lovely. We recently lost our fabulous little dog and can't thank them enough for the way he was treated in the 9 years of his life.

We are new customers to RBB vets, and my cat, Star, recently had some dental work carried out where a number of teeth had to be removed. Thankfully, the vet was able to save and clean several teeth - at our previous vets I was told all would be removed so I'm very grateful that some were saved (Star is too!). The whole process from booking the original appointment to the aftercare has been wonderful. All of the staff, vets, nurses and receptionists have been caring, friendly and professional. I even received a call the day after the procedure to see how Star was, which I thought was excellent. It's so refreshing to receive this level of care. The service has been exceptional and on behalf of myself and Star, we would like to say thank you to everyone at RBB vets and we highly recommend you.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you. You weren’t my registered vets (as I live in Manchester), but while staying with family in Stoke, I came to see you as an emergency on a Saturday afternoon. I have a 5-year-old Frenchie who’s been in and out of vet clinics his whole life due to chronic ear issues, originally caused by allergies. Over the years, I’ve seen countless vets, been asked the same questions repeatedly, not properly listened to, and given the same advice I’ve already tried time and time again. I often feel fobbed off and, to be honest, like many practices care more about charging for everything than they do about the welfare of our pets. But coming to you was a breath of fresh air. You cared about Joey just as much as I do. Bruce immediately recognised Joey’s anxiety and didn’t try to poke or prod him, which would’ve only made things worse. Instead, he listened to me, discussed what we’d already tried, and suggested a long-term solution—TECA surgery. He spent nearly an hour talking through the procedure, potential complications, and expected outcomes. I’m writing this review two months later, on the day of Joey’s surgery, while he snores peacefully beside me. I cannot thank Bruce enough. Although this is major surgery, I truly believe it will give Joey a new lease of life. Thank you for taking the time to listen, help, and care for Joey as much as I do. And it wasn’t just Bruce—every staff member I dealt with over the few weeks I was in and out of your practice (for eye ulcers and ear infections) was incredible. Chloe and Liam were calm, patient, understanding, and genuinely couldn’t do enough for me (there were panicked tears on the phone - and they were absolutely brilliant!) They always called back when they said they would and showed real care for Joey and his wellbeing. Empathy goes a long way, and that's what differentiates your practice to the rest, each and everyone of you made me feel seen, heard, and supported—not just as a pet owner, but as someone who truly loves their dog. That level of compassion and consistency is rare, and it’s what sets your practice apart. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being everything we needed and more. Thank you all for making both of our lives hopefully so much easier after this surgery. Although you’re not local, I’ve now changed my vets—and the hour-long drive is absolutely worth it. You’re not just my emergency vets anymore—you’re my everyday vets.

We can’t thank the team here enough for the incredible care they gave our beloved Pomchi Otto bear cub. From Gracie’s warm welcome and reassuring updates, to Bruce’s skilled hands in surgery, and Katie’s thoughtful call explaining his recovery and aftercare, every step showed such kindness and professionalism. To the team “You treated our 12-year-old boy as if he were your own, and that means the world to us. We are so grateful for the comfort and confidence you provided during an anxious time”. With heartfelt thanks, Hellena, Danny & Otto bear cub 🐾

Milo, ( my ' Heinz 57 ' mixed breed dog, 8yrs old) had surgery and x-rays at the Longton branch of RBB. Such a lovely, caring and professional staff. I was so worried and they reassured me that everything would be fine...and it was! Milo loved being there and would probably happily go back tomorrow!! The care for him was second to none. I usually take him to the Cheadle branch for his checkups etc and he considers those visits as a treat! I can't think of any down sides to my encounters with RBB...thanks so much! JW

I have waited several months before writing this review so that it was not written emotionally, and also in the hope that someone from the practice would contact me to discuss what happened. Unfortunately, I have heard nothing. I used this vets practice for over 20 years. The vets themselves are excellent — compassionate, understanding, and clearly dedicated to both the animals and their owners. Sadly, this is where the positive experience ends. The management team and much of the reception staff (with one or two exceptions) are among the least customer-focused people I have dealt with. Earlier this year, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have my elderly dog put to sleep. Weeks beforehand, I called to ask what the process would be when the time came and was told simply to call on the day. When I called early that morning and explained the situation, I was told I would need to go to another practice. In over 20 years I had never attended another branch, and on the day I most needed familiarity and compassion, this was not offered. I declined, and was then offered two appointment slots, one with Bruce. However, I was again asked what the appointment was for, and when I repeated myself, there was no apology or acknowledgement before I was placed on hold while they searched for an “available appointment”. I completely understand that other animals also needed care that day, but there was absolutely no compassion shown during that call. Eventually, I was given an appointment later that morning. I waited outside in my car and called reception to explain I did not feel able to sit in the waiting room until the vet was ready. At no point did anyone check if I was okay. The appointment itself was handled well. The vet was kind, compassionate, and professional throughout. The following day, my mum — who is also a customer of the practice — explained to the team how upset I had been by the experience. She was told I would need to submit my complaint in writing, less than 24 hours after losing my 15-year-old dog. At that point, I simply was not emotionally able to do that. My mum explained this and was told the matter would be looked into. A week later, I emailed to cancel the pet policy I held for my other dog and explained I would be moving to another vets practice. The only response I received was what appeared to be an administrative email saying “blanket where ashes are kept”. I replied asking whether this email had been sent to me in error, but received no response. I later contacted Hope Vets by email on a Sunday evening, and the owner personally replied to say they were accepting new clients. I registered with them immediately. The next contact I received from Rogers Brock was a phone call asking permission to transfer my records, which I agreed to. The caller then phoned back moments later to say, “By the way, did you know Hope use our vets for out-of-hours cover?” Given the circumstances, this came across as unnecessarily smug and lacking in awareness of why I had chosen to leave. My issue was never with the vets themselves, so using them for emergencies was never the concern. Since then, I have heard nothing from the practice, aside from continued marketing emails despite unsubscribing — including today’s email announcing a rebrand. Over the years, I have spent in excess of £20,000 with this practice and trusted them completely with my pets’ care. They are no longer the compassionate, supportive practice they once were. They over price medication, which is available online with out prescription. It is deeply disappointing that loyal customers can leave after such an upsetting experience without any meaningful acknowledgement, accountability, or attempt to make things right. I do not understand why they have a practise manager as surely this is the role to resolve things. I would never use this vets again.

I originally registered my new puppy with this practice because I was assured that they ran puppy parties for 8-12 week old pups to socialise them with other puppies prior to vaccinations being completed. This never happened because one of the nurses was ill. A national practice charging goodness knows what for treatment can't be bothered to have another nurse to cover for what is a very time critical period? They just couldn't be bothered. Secondly when I called the practice I was constantly referred to as 'Shug'. Very unprofessional and irritating. There was also carcophany of noise in the background making it difficult to have any kind of conversation. When I mentioned this I was told that it is always noisy here shug. I have de-registered. No nothing discussed with me as per your response. However please don't bother - decision made.
